That’s definitely an option but since I have the trd off-road with the piggy back reservoir bilstein’s already it wouldn’t be much of an upgrade since it’s the same shock diameter as a 5100 already. I will probably wait till 6112’s are available or possibly 8112’s. I have had 6112’s before on my...
I have the all-dogs springs front and rear. I think I got an older set because the front was only lifted about an inch and the rear was lifted at least 2 inches. The ride up front is fine but the ride in the rear is very harsh. The only extra weight I have is from the Toyota rock sliders and the...
I had an ARE V series on my 2019 F-150. It was pretty good and I liked how many options there were with the locks and the windows. I really loved how the inside window that faced the back of the cab would drop down so you could clean it and the truck’s back wind as well while the cap was on. It...
I’m pretty sure all hybrid Tacomas and 4Runners have the 9.5 rear diff and all the non hybrid Tacomas and 4Runners have the 8.2 rear diff. Oddly enough it seems that all the new US Land Cruiser 250s only have the 8.2 rear diff even though they all have the hybrid powertrain.
I have 285/75R17 inch tall Nitto Ridge grapplers on my 24 trd off-road with the sway bar disconnect on stock wheels and fully flexed I get no rub. I do have a 1.5 inch front and rear lift from all dogs off-road though.
Not much, just the trailhunter skid plates and the Toyota rock rails. It felt fine with a bunch of camping gear in the bed but when the bed is empty it’s pretty stiff.
I have the all-dogs front and rear springs. I think the front springs are great but the rear seamed to have lifted the truck up nearly 2 inches instead of the 1 1/2 they advertised. It is pretty stiff in the rear but I knew that was a risk since they don’t advertise their spring rates. Unless...
My non-hybrid 24 trd off-road has the same problem. It has 2 chirps every time I start it up and it happens while driving as well. It gets better as the truck warms up but it still happens.
I had to get the sales manager at my local dealership search for one for me back in August and it took him about 2 weeks to find one with the options I wanted and another 2 weeks to get it in. It is well worth looking for though and is by far the best option you can get. It is amazing the...
I took my 2024 Tacoma Trd off-road premium to do some off-roading in Oklahoma this past weekend. We First did Rattlesnake Bluff near Brokenbow then we went north and camped that night near the beginning of K-trail. My friend took his 80 series Land Cruiser as well.
The goal wasn’t to try...
