I ended up replacing the Toyota Canadian front mudflap with the Ark. The side paint, fender flare, and door handles were all getting blasted still. The Ark's are not 100%, but much better.
There is a known issue with Retrax Pro XR and the Kuat Ibex for the 6' Tacoma bed. Not the 5' bed though. I would reach out to Kuat, they are very helpful.
I took a day trip over Chinook Pass (5,430 feet) in Washington last weekend, that was my first tank at 20 mpg. Previous best was 19.2. I was getting 14-15 when I first got my truck in November. I am at 5,500 miles. It is getting better
Yes, I was getting both water and tons of dust.
Part A - After some driving on some washboard dirt roads in Eastern Washington where there is still a fair amount of Mt Saint Helens volcanic ash, the back part of my bed was full of dust and it got all over my stuff. Also, the Retrax mounting...
The only way to change the color from white/amber is the fog light switch. I know, I did not have that for the first 3 months. It was only white until I had the switch.
I turn my fog lights on/off with the headlight switch. The fog light switch changes the color from white to amber. The fog light switch itself changes color from white/amber so you can tell which color is on. Hard to see while driving though, way down at the bottom of the panel.
In the state of Washington, we can hang fifteen feet beyond the center of the last axle with a red flag or light required. Since you brought this up, I better check any state that I may visit though. Those kayaks are inflatable, I could always deflate them like I always had to do with my...
When I have needed to replace the existing vehicle mats in the past, I have always used WeatherTech. I also had their stone and bug deflector on my Yukon XL, it was solid. When I got my TH, I went with WeatherTech for the bed mat and mud flaps. Their mud flaps did not fit the TH, they took them...
Last summer when I made the decision to move from a Subaru Outback to the Trailhunter, I had a vision of moving my fishing kayaks from lake to lake with minimal time and effort. We had a beautiful 60 degree day on Saturday, so I finally got to test out my plan. The Trailhunter / Retrax XR / Kuat...
I think I can help here given I have had to deal with what may be a unique issue pertaining to my fog light switch. A few weeks after taking delivery of my TH, I was learning how to use some of the features and realized my TH was not built with the correct light bar and fog light switches. Mine...
I purchased the Weathertech Impactliner and my knees love it when I am back there working on stuff. Nothing slides around. I paid $215 a few months, now they are $319. Is this worth 3x the OEM or Lasfit? Probably not. If I was buying today, I would probably go OEM.
Thanks @BearTacos. You will lose about 13" from the bed on top. You will have about 18" of height under the can, so, 18 x 13 for a storage stash. Also - given I did not want to electric version of the Retrax XR but wanted to open and close from the tailgate (given the side is now covered by the...
I have the Retrax Pro XR as well. I need make some adjustments to reduce water getting in. Not a lot of water is getting in, but some. Outside of that, it has been solid. I installed the Kuat Ibex rack in the T-rail slots, it was pretty easy.
The only time I can get the "AC 120V" switch to light up and then have power at the the outlet in my bed is when the engine is running. As soon as I turn off the engine, the "AC 120V" light switch goes off and the power is off at the outlet. In page 454 of the owners manual, it does call out...
