Yet you still took time out of your day to comment
This wasn’t meant to be an encompassing post by any means.
We also don’t believe in using ChatGPT to write our posts for us like many others do. So what you get is real, brief, and to the point.
As of yet, no. There’s something we’re currently waiting on before we get it on the dyno. Hoping to have that in the coming months. As of now it’s just, “Trust me bro!”
All jokes aside, there’s a noticeable difference no doubt. I just can’t give an accurate representation of what it is yet...
What’s up guys! Pumped to share this, it’s the second one we’ve done & can’t wait to do more
We got another upgraded OEM direct bolt on replacement turbo installed yesterday. We have a YouTube video coming out with how to do it. Give us a follow (shameless plug) haha.
Just to note - this one...
@JustDSM can shed further light here - but the 6MT calibration is super solid. I don't think you would be dissatisfied from an in person tune, or remote tuning via the COBB AP device. Some software options have limitations in certain areas, while others do not.
There is always the option to do...
Initial thoughts on quality? Process of installation? Eashy to get on and off? I've been EXTREMELY tempted lately to pull the trigger on a GFC. Just hate that you essentially need a forklift to get it off.
Yeah, what he said. Package came complete with instructions, torque specs, upgraded hardware, and a gasket.
The best part was the envelope that said, "parts inside, don't bend." Lol
Dude, I tuned my vehicle with 11 miles on it in the dealers parking lot, I also installed an upgraded turbo with less than 10k miles on it. I am not concerned in any form or fashion with what the dealer has to say about my truck or what they think they can deny for my warranty.
The stock heat shield isn't needed for this DP. If you want the extra heat reduction, there is an optional upgraded insulated stainless thermal shield you can request.
I haven't had the truck on a dyno yet, but will at some point. Will probably have our 4R on there as it's still stock so I'm curious what kind of numbers that will put out.
When I posted this initially, I was just getting done with a 2 hour v-band clamp fight.
Hindsight, I realize I didn't give any context about the purpose of this upgrade - or really any info about it. I wanted to come here and give a quick rundown for those who may be unfamiliar.
On the 2024+...
We've been doing some serious work using the COBB AP on our OTT Stage 3 Tune prep. It's a pretty cool device. Being able to monitor and log your truck while driving is fun. Seeing the boost, KCLV, oil temps, etc. all comes in handy.
