What a nice build! You have good taste. I’m eyeing the fang pod lights you have- do they add legit visibility in dark/fog? They don’t have a light spec so I’m not sure if they’re mostly cosmetic or if they would actually improve my sight. Might be better use of money to upgrade the stock fog...
Not the same issue but I have various other rattles on interior. I'm curious what happens when you take it to a dealership for a rattle, I never have bothered assuming it would just be "ok we drove it around and we think we got it" when they did nothing but made me sit there 30 minutes. Maybe...
Title says it all - trying to get my Taco lit up and hoping to capitalize on some of your experience
Fog lights - not wanting to do anything other than stick with the OEM placement/sizing. Does anyone have experience with Form Lighting or Yotaverse? I was looking at the Diode replacement (SS6)...
THIS looks great. I'm about to order one. Thinking I'll opt for the large bore variation. What I'm having trouble deciding between are the hose options. Just eyeballing it under my truck, it's hard to tell what will give enough clearance to get around or through my RCI skid plate. Is the hose...
Sounds like they will work around it, or take it partly/entirely off. But I did verify they WILL charge you extra for labor (i.e. the oil change is covered, but removing the skid plate to get to it is not covered by toyota care), just FYI. Maybe that's different on trims that come with skids.
LOL just saw this. Thanks for your response, but not quite. Free oil change? Not really, I paid for it when I bought my truck. It's built into the "toyotacare" line item. I talked to the techs before the change and they assured me the skid plate (which they sell and install at that location)...
Went in for 10K maintenance on Friday. Waited 3 hours. Went home, parked for about 15 hours, and then noticed a large oil puddle (10-12 inch diameter overnight). Got under the truck and found the skid plate flooded with oil, so much it was dripping out of multiple skid plate holes.
Went back...
Hoping someone here has fresh ideas or especially experience.
long story short some recent off road experiences made me a believer in traction boards. I don’t have any yet because I haven’t decided on mounting. That’s why I’m here.
I have a long bed with a synetic USA tonneau cover on...
Technically I could but the conditions would be dramatically different. And since a pretty specific set of conditions is necessary to bring about the issue, it wouldn’t really be conclusive to me
Not sure the guys title, but the top dog at the location I went to. They could have serviced the diff, im pretty sure ADD is serviceable. But they put a whole new differential in. The guy said 1. Updated hardware and 2. Updated software. Can’t really verify either
FINAL POST:
Picked up my truck last night. I received a new (updated) front diff as well as the software update. Wish I knew a little more than that, but hopefully Toyota will enlighten us soon. Regardless, I would suggest asking your service person to make sure you have the latest and greatest...
Ladies and gentlemen, another update:
truck is still at Toyota. They decided to pull the whole front differential and replace it. I talked to a guy who seemed to be top service dog at this dealer location and he wasn’t able to speak to what specifically is different (heavily implied that Toyota...
Well I took delivery just before the 6 month point, and I think it took them that long to figure out. I have been in for service since though...
My dealership just called and confirmed it is something in the front differential so they’re pulling the whole thing and replacing it. Not just the...
