I'd recommend putting some thicker PPF with more coverage there instead of the OEM PPF. After a winter in the PNW i have noticed a few very small paint chips in that area from little stones being flung up from the front wheels. And I have decent enough mud flaps also.
Mine was in the 40s when it got delivered and it was a very rough ride. I went straight down to 30psi and it was way better. When I put drawers, a bed rack and roof top tent on it, it improved even more. The suspension feels very good now with the extra weight, I guess the truck was designed for...
I brought my Tacoma in for a service on Tuesday and they replaced the rock sliders under warranty when I showed them the rust and they reached out to Toyota.
They did the same to me also, 40 psi and it was so rough. The shop might put them high to get the tire to sit.
Yeah that would be 23psi warm.
How are you finding the AT4Ws? I haven't found any faults with them so far
What is stock pressure for you? Stock pressure for my TH is 30 and I go down to 23 PSI also for dirt roads which are bumpy enough. I switched my tires to the AT4Ws with a C load rating.
Hey there, is there a way to easily switch from Android Auto to the Toyota functions on the infotainment system? If I'm on full Googe Maps view it takes around 4-5 presses to get to the SiriusXM screen. There must be an easier way. To go back to Android Auto it's a one button press.
I also try to keep it in 2H unless I really need it. Like @OhioTaco said, a bit of weight in the rear goes a long way also. If you keep your movements/braking slow and steady you'll feel when you need 4H a lot of the time. It's also worth testing your traction on a small side road or car park in...
This is what I got driving from Vancouver to Whistler and back. It's a hilly route from Vancouver to Squamish with a large climb from Squamish to Whistler at the end. Total elevation gain is about 1,500m (4,920 feet) from Vancouver to Whistler.
13.1 l/100km is about 18MPG. Driving from...
I put the AT4Ws on my Trailhunter yesterday in 265/70/18 SL, stock size. It's slightly taller than a 285/65/18 on paper. I'll let you know how they go. I wanted to stay away from a LT tire due to the weight and ride difference.
I put them on my TH. They weren't the easiest to get on and I agree that one of the bolts was too short, I needed to leave it out. They do a great job over the stock ones.
