Yakima has slotted rails that can be attached to the top of the bedside. https://yakima.com/search?view=shop&q=tracks I have looked at using them for a ski rack above a bed cover. From there, there are a few ways to attach hooks to those rails.

You can buy the Yakima T-slots separately and mount them yourself. You don’t need them from the factory

Have you looked on the Thule website. I’m a Yakima guy and I know that they have a mount system that would work. if Thule has a mount. Start searching on Craig’s List and Facebook marketplace
