I did that already and , while the cover was poorly installed the last time the dealer performed maintenance, the fan is directly below and the filter is dirty side up with not much for access above it which is the direction I assume the offending nut resides.
I was hearing a terrible rattle behind the infotainment screen, to the point that I made an appointment to have it checked out. This after emptying everything from the glove box and all cubby spots, and checking under the hood by the firewall. 25 minutes after that phone call, I had to slam on...
While I rarely experienced a failure to load up CarPlay, it has happened a small handful of times. This morning when I got in my Trailhunter, the screen started an update that lasted less than 1 minute. That appeared to be a Toyota update, but it could have been other than. No issues today, but...
We had a pretty good rain to ice to snow event in Central WI yesterday which had me using the windshield washer excessively on my way to and from work today, due to the large amounts of road treatment laid down. I’m not sure if I caused this whilst scraping my windshield this morning or not but...
Thanks for all the good input everyone. I would love to see this thread continue to populate. Is the solar power considered an essential? Or do our Trailhunter inverters take on that duty well enough?
Agreed, that is awesome. How much does that weigh, say, compared to an aluminum rig. I have build a few cabinets with marine grade plywood, and that stuff is heavy. Your ingenuity, planning and skill level is most impressive. Aside from welding, I have the necessary tools. Are there any DOT...
I am new to truck ownership and purchased the TH in hopes that the Mrs. and I could eventually start to see the country together now that the kids are grown. As I look at the various trailers out there, some of them cost more than the truck. I figured starting off we might just rent them to see...
That looks really good, how does it ride? Keep us posted at to your mileage with those 35’s. Special thanks for the detailed photos of the process, as well as the underside and suspension. In that pic of the rear end with the Dobinsons springs, is that a Fox part up at the top? Is that a bump...
Also, to unlock all 4 doors at once you have two options. 1. Go to the passenger side of the truck, as any gentleman would for, say, his wife or girlfriend. 2. Hold your hand on drivers handle for about 5-8 seconds and all doors will unlock as well.
How about taking the Trailhunter through an automatic car wash or when there is driving rain when it is sitting outside? Is there some water mitigation in the spot where the snorkel enters the fender? I have had mine for a week now and would like to wash it, but nervous about water intrusion.
Well, I picked up an Ice Cap White Trailhunter in 5 ft bed yesterday locally. Had a hiccup at delivery Saturday afternoon, due to the battery going dead while sitting in it programming the Toyota app inside the showroom. I didn’t want to start it being inside, but then they jumped it and ran it...
Congratulations on your new Trailhunter. And same goes to all of you with new Tacomas. I can imagine you all being very pleased with your purchases, these are really quite nice vehicles. I have never owned a truck and hope this to be (potentially) a final vehicle purchase.
I am pleased to...
This is good to know about the soft pull. I was unaware of this. Like I said, I have only purchased new twice before and it has been awhile, with significantly less money on the line. I am not trading in the corolla. It will go to a family member or one of the cooks at work. It is just...
Sorry, I edited the post to correctly reflect $252 per month more. At the interest rate of 4.99% like offered on the IforceMax off-road, the increase would only be around $95/month.
I am just fearful that too many credit pulls will result in my credit score dropping below 690.
Well, It’s a $67,702 truck marked down to $63,915 with roof rack, spray in bed liner, door edge guards, paint protection film, mud guards, tailgate insert, door panel scuff protectors, and quick charging cables.
I am already approved for an Iforce max offroad with premium package and sway bar...
