When I ordered in March delivery was June. A few weeks ago it extended to July. When I checked 2 days ago, it was August delivery. It doesn't matter too much to me. I'm on my summer adventure and won't be home for awhile.
I really could use that tank right now.
De nada.
FYI. I'm going to Overland Expo in a couple weeks. I'll have another chat with those folks and hopefully have an update.
I'm waiting on the 18gal Helivue tank.
I also have an overland truck. I bought and built the truck specifically for longer adventures. My other overlander is a Gen1 4Runner that I use for harder stuff like Canyonlands, and short (1-2 week) trips. The Tacoma was specifically built for a 7 week adventure to western Canada and Alaska...
I installed the -35R00 on my TRD-OR. Like most folks we want to minimize the mud and rock chips. Problem is, I wheel my truck. More than once I've caught the mudflaps on the rocks. I've cracked one, and bent the fender with another. I'm going to leave them for now, since I do think that most of...

Those tri-color caps are $32 list each. The others are $14 list. Even at a discount dealer a set of the tri-colors would cost over $100. This is one of those cases where the bling isn't worth it. My opinion of course.
But, you do you.
Well, I'm going to bump this up to the top. Awhile back I had a 5th TPMS installed in my full size matching spare which is mounted on the rear bumper. The dealer had been bugging me to bring the truck in for a free service. In this case, it was for a tire rotation and multi-point "inspection." I...
I seem to recall one aftermarket turbo put on a dyno. I don't remember the specifics, but the conclusion was the larger turbo wasn't worth it. I wish I could remember where I saw that.
I believe Cam showed this to be true on his website. He tested his tuned truck with a SXTH intake and had good results. Of course, I think he did the dyno test with their inner-cooler at the same time. I think your point that the intake has better impact on a tuned truck is important. My point...
I'm going to take a different approach here. Note, I have no dog in this fight since I don't like cone filters in off-road trucks. Argue with me all you want, but I don't think they filter as well. I'll stick with the factory paper that I can purchase on the road if needed. Or I can carry for a...
A quick screen shot of various discount dealers, at least most of them are. Shop around. The 15% sale is on top of any regular discount the dealer normally offers. My dealer discounts ~30% off list price. Take 15% off that and you have a respectable deal.
Open several carts and see who comes...
The 15% is on top of any discount the dealer normally offers. So, take the discount price the dealer shows, then take 15% off the discount price. Example, I just ordered three air filters. List price: $30.99. Discount price: $19.54. With the additional 15% they were $16.61 each. Plus tax, of...
The discount at American is greater than Karl Malone/Sandia/Group 1. I just spent a bunch at American.
Also, American has two parts websites. The one you want is autoparts.americantoyota.com. Discount is better, and they don't charge $5 to pick up in the store. Don't use parts.americantoyota.com.
I suspect since this is a fuel tank there might be regulations they need to get around. For instance, CARB might have heart burn with a new or aux fuel tank. Of course, they could just refuse sell to California addresses. I talked with a company at Overland Expo that said exactly that. Seeking...
Here is a list of discount dealers (most of them are). Sorry, they are dealers. Some discount more than others. Shop around. My dealer discounts ~30% off list, where over-the-counter prices are marked UP from list price. Example. I get oil filters online at my dealer for $4.50. List price is...
