These are managed networks like carrier or isp networks, they get installed by carriers when you activate WiFi calling, or travel abroad. It isn’t the same as having auto join enabled and joining your neighbors open WiFi
I finally figured out my issue with CarPlay. I finally realized while driving it was disconnecting in the same areas in town, and I got to thinking that it had to be wifi related. In fact, my phone was dropping the CarPlay wifi for XFINITY WIFI. The below changes had completely solved my issues...

I followed instructions on YouTube, but I have a limited, and my painted fenders don't have a seam there, so the fender was pulled back, and the bumper came off behind it.
I had it happen in the first week (January), but it has certainly gotten worse. I just bought my truck a month ago, so I didn't have too much time before the iOS update.
Is anyone else having issues with CarPlay connecting, then you drive 2-10 minutes, and it just disconnects... most of the time I can go to settings, bluetooth and devices, click the device, and click "use CarPlay", and it will reconnect, but it is really disruptive/distracting to do while...
Here is my first attempt at the shift lever. I emailed Bill for ideas. my concern is I don't have enough meat on the top of the rear end for the u-bolt. If it were to slip, it would be catastrophic.
@Leo319, I got my drive shaft this week, and I installed it. I attempted to install the release lever, but I can't seem to find a good way to get the u-bolt to attach to the rear diff. Do you by chance have any photos of yours installed?
@Airborne, yes. I've had it 3 weeks, and 500 miles. The dealer I purchased from is an hour away, and the local dealer sucks. but I suppose you're right. I was just hoping it was a simple design issue that someone had figured out. Thank you everyone for your response.
Does anyone else have an issue with the cable, or glass rattling on their trucks? I have tried to isolate it by putting some felt in the track near the cable on the passenger side, it seems to stop the rattle, but the window doesn't open with the felt blocking. I can also *barely* open the...
@Leo319 Thank you for your assistance with the parts. I ended up ordering and installing:
Roadmaster RM32EQ Direct Connect base plate kit for 2024 Toyota Tacoma: which ended up needing some modification to the bolt holes that go into the stock tow hook mounts. fit perfectly in the slots in the...
@Leo319 Thank you for the diode kit, I ordered that. I'm sorry to be a pest, but I was wondering if you had your measurements for your driveshaft, or your worksheet handy. I believe it's SKU-3, and my measurements were: 71.1875" long, and the caps are 1.125". does that seem similar to yours? I...
@Leo319 I also have a call out to Superior Driveline. Do you know if they sent you a steel or aluminum drive shaft? My 24 Tacoma Limited has an Aluminum driveshaft.
Thanks,
Jaye
Leo, thank you for your contribution. I am in the process of converting my 2024 Tacoma Limited to flat tow. My parents converted a 2024 4Runner earlier this year, so I understand the drive line, brake and diode process. Can you share which diode's you bought? When I search for 2024 tacoma on...
