    Update : I gave up on the truck and requested the dealer I bought it from buy it back; They bought it back and threw me into a 2023 4Runner for no cost.

    Ive had three things replaced so far, so honestly I’m just gonna give up. I was told the technician started 2 other tacomas on the lot and they did the same chirp. Corporate knows about it and they said I would know ASAP if they found a solution or released a TSB. Time will tell.

    I bet they hate me lol. I've brought it in MANY times due to this chirp. My opinion; a new vehicle should not make a noise like this...

    Yea I contacted corporate about this. They need to come out with something regarding this because too many people have to deal with this. it's definitely not a one-off issue.

    supposedly they " replaced " mine... I'm gonna reach out to them in a little bit cause it's still doing it and I honestly never got confirmation that it was replaced. very wishy washy...

    ( Update ) I've now had the alternator, A/C clutch, and A/C compressor replaced. none helped. A/C clutch solved the issue for a week but now it's back. toyota said its normal. pathetic on a new truck and corporate was informed about it.

    (update) Sat at toyota for a few days, diagnosed it, put in a new A/C compressor and tested it to 2 other tacomas. All of them did the chirping. " normal operation." Corporate knows about the issue and hopefully a TSB or something will arrive sometime soon...

    update on this - brought it in on Tuesday, diagnosed it as something in the compressor now? they either replaced the part or did something to it, getting confirmation on that later, but hopefully its fixed...

    yep. I cringe every time I have to start it in the morning. I called corporate about a fix for it, cause clearly this isn't a one off issue; so hopefully they have a fix for it sometime in the near future...

    search up 2024 tacoma chirp and you will see its a pretty common issue with these, especially earlier models.

    good to know you haven't had any Ill effects from it in 16k miles. just baffles me how a new truck like this, especially for what they cost, makes noises that don't correlate with a brand new truck.

    Will do, just made an appointment. honestly baffled cause this will be the 4th or 5th time this truck has had to go back to toyota in the 2 1/2 months I've owned it.

  17. Hard shifting from 1st to 2nd gear?

    I've always thrown 93 octane in it. I've started to very slowly creep forward and allow it to change into 2nd gear with little throttle. not as noticeable... no clue why some are buttery smooth but others are like mine. software fix when?

    every morning I get a rough 1-2 shift on my SR5... getting quite annoying. If I give it barely any throttle leaving the driveway it doesn't really do it, but if I give it any throttle above that, it almost shoves me back into my seat.
