  3. Best value mid budget shocks

Install was easy with the right tools. It's really nice working on a new-ish vehicle 😅 Paired with Alldogs rear springs. MT64 is going to be a step above the Falcons. Price is similar on the shocks but you have to run new UCAs with the MT64s so it ends up being a pricier setup overall.
  4. Trail Video: Fins N’ Things, Moab UT, 01/03/26

Great video and driving! It's amazing what a stock TRD OR on 33s can do.
  5. Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review

Yes - lift height depends on how much weight you're carrying.
  6. Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review

The extra travel isn't all that noticeable, it's really about the better valving, how that travel gets used, and what happens when you run out of travel.
  7. Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review

Of course a matched set is better but I like the idea. If I want more out of my suspension in the future I would probably start by replacing just the fronts. Problem is I'm not sure you can buy just the rears. If you could, it would be best matched with another digressively valved shock like...
  8. Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review

Not much closer than stock. The spring diameter seems to be the same as stock with a bigger shock body inside. There isn't a ton of extra droop so it's not a problem.
  9. Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review

Falcon 3.2 Fast Adjust Shocks Review Of all the mods you can do to your truck – shocks stand out as the one that’s better to do right the first time. I wish more people had written reviews like this while I was searching for my next set of shocks, so here's my subjective review of the Falcon...
  10. Best value mid budget shocks

Falcon shocks are in. Off to the alignment shop then a weekend of wheeling. I'll do a full review in a about a month or so once I've used them in different conditions. Install would have been pretty straightforward but one of the front shocks was misaligned by a couple degrees. After some back...

That's great! Are you able to provide more details about the ride, valving, damping and how they handle your camper?
  12. Best value mid budget shocks

I finally landed on a set of shocks (Falcon 3.2). I spoke with the guys over at Shock Surplus, Ian from Wheel Every Weekend, and a sales rep from Icon to pick their brain about shocks, tuning, and my application. I'll dive into some of the research and my thought process but keep in mind, I'm...

Do you know the part number on the 4th gen pro UCAs?
  14. KO3 sidewall protection C vs E

I ran C rated ko2s for 50k miles. The only flat I ever got was a nail straight through bottom. I beat them to shit. Got E rated duractrac RTs for my 4th gen because they don't come in a C and blew a 6 inch gash through the sidewall on my second trip. I've heard Es are supposed to be stronger...
  15. 2024 Tacoma SR 4th Gen Build

Unless you want a rear locker, SR 4wd is the way to go 👍👍
  16. Best value mid budget shocks

Love the shock value series. I keep hoping they're going to come out with an episode for the 4th gen.
  17. Best value mid budget shocks

I ruled out the Eibach 2r personally because it's a 46mm piston same as the stock red bilsteins, but without a reservoir so it has even less oil capacity than the stockies. Falcon is a 2.25 body, everything else on the list is a 2.5, and the MT64 is 2.8 which is the biggest body shock you can...
  18. Best value mid budget shocks

Nope, no reason. It's on the poll now. Any experience with it?
  19. Best value mid budget shocks

It's time to upgrade the stock TRD offroad bilstein shocks (I have them on Alldogs offroad springs.) They're great for low speed off roading but they just can't hang at higher speeds and don't dampen extra weight very well. I'm looking for a best bang/buck suspension setup - 2.5 or 3.0 front...
  20. Bed stiffeners - worth it?

Thanks for your input! Exactly the kind of insight I was looking for.
