i have a power tailgate, and im torn.
you can turn it off so its manual, but because its a pwoer tailgate, the effort to manually close it is more than a regular tailgate. it has a soft open. there is definitely convenience with the power tailgate. i can open/close it with my elbow if my hands...
honestly it blew my mind. i instantly saw an increase in gas mileage and an extra 100kms of range the day after i removed the rack. city mileage was not really affected much. maybe 10% at best. but the numbers i got in my post are real numbers. no change in cargo (if anything lightened my...
Has anyone put on a rack that hasnt significantly affected gas mileage?
I took the oem one off my trailhunter and found that the rack used 50% more fuel on the highway.
I went from 16.5l/100 down to 11l/100
I've been pretty unhappy with the fuel mileage on these trucks since day 1
13L/100 city (18mpg)
16-17L/100 highway (14mpg)
For non Canadians, the estimates were 10 and 10 for the trailhunter.
Well, I took the roof rack off and behold....my last highway trip i managed 11L/100 (21mpg). City...
yeah, you need the offroad/trailhunter dashboard and then whatever screen sits inside it. its not very customizable honestly and i wish it were. i dont even look at it most of the time. do i really need my speed shown in 3 difference places? the only time i could see a good use for this...
not sure what yhe pro has for running boards/rock sliders, but i added steps to my oem rock sliders and they work a charm
for reference, im 5'-6 and my wife is 5-2. makes life a lot easier for the both of us
Yes. Thats the ball mount that came with my TH
There's a rubber plug as well that came with my rav4 and my buddy's tundra. I doubt i threw it away but indont think I got one.
i dont know the name of it. the 2" hitch that you add the ball to. ball mount? male end of the reciever?
my TH came with it and a spare pin hiding behind the seat.
my rav4 trail (adventure) came with it when i bought the hitch and it came with the rubber toyota logo insert for the reciever...
my TH came with 2 pins. one in the glove box and one with the ball reciever (no ball included) did y'all get a hitch cover? the rubber insert for the reciver when not used.
my rav4 came with one when i had the hitch added and my buddy's tundra came wioth one as well
Anything but the toyota one....60kg/130lbs weight limit and it's horrendously loud on the highway. Above 110kmh/65mph it shakes your mirror like a vibrator.
Now, to be fair, it was insanely windy when I was on my road trip but even on mild days it gets pretty loud.
It's coming off this weekend...
I thought my gas mileage was bad....but not 8mpg bad. 25 TH, just did my first road trip. About 180miles each way. I averaged 14mpg driving avg 65mph. I was absolutely shocked how terrible this was.
Has about 1300miles on it.
My best tank has been about 19mpg mostly city
Alright...so the saga continues...not very happy but i just picked my truck up from the dealer this morning after having the AC expansion valve replaced under warranty.
Pulled into my garage and heard some clicking when turning the wheel when stopped or driving slow. Pretty sure it didn't make...
