I just lay the soft bag the sunglasses came on the bottom of the holder and put the sunglasses on top of the soft bag, no rattles at all and the bag is there to use if I need it.
My wife puts her sunglasses there. Mine go in the overhead compartment. She's jealous because her Camry doesn't have the overhead sunglass storage! I tell her it's okay, she has auto windshield wipers and memory seats, that I don't have!!! :p Real World Problems!
Here's a couple pictures of my after market Bed Step from Amazon:
I've been very happy with it and it seems to tuck up next to the truck a bit closer than the Bed Step I had on my 3rd Gen Taco.
I went through the same decision process, but living in Fla, I actually wanted the Hybrid with part-time 4 wheel drive. I would have been thrilled if they actually offered the Hybrid Limited in 2WD. It would have been a lighter truck that would have gotten better gas mileage and probably would...
I don't feel much of a difference in mine, but I typically have it in Comfort most of the time. If I dod switch to another Mode, it's usually to Eco. Maybe there's not much of a difference between those two Modes.
I got this one off Amazon and it works great!

Just curious, what is different about the TRD Pro's Trailer Hitch that you have to remove it to install the Bed Step? I have a Limited, it's working great on my...
I took mine out and leave it in the house or glovebox. I have one of those blank inserts from Etsy to fill the void. I feel that center speaker drowns out the rest of the speakers and it sounds better without it!
I have the hybrid and yes, it does make a difference driving around town. The electric motor gets the truck moving, most times the gas engine doesn't engage until 5-10 MPH. I can also go a good ways in stop and go traffic without the gas engine ever coming on. Yes, the hybrid does feel more...
I bought one of these blanks before even seeing this post. Glad to see I'm supporting a member! I will say that I love it! The JBL Flex Speaker overpowered the rest of the speakers in the system, so my stereo sounds much better now. One of the best mods I've done to my Tacoma!
I do have a...
I agree, I think the further out (closer to the bed sides) the better. I would also make the mesh wider so it covers the entire bed opening and does a better job of keeping stuff inside the bad! Thank you for always trying to improve our options!
I have a super light 4X8 utility trailer I tow with my Limited. I made a trip to Home Depot the other day to pick up a load of concrete pavers, bags of (damp) mulch and Garden Soil. I have no idea what it all weighed, but figure it was significantly more than empty, although probably not much...
And wouldn't that make for a very jumpy ride? It doesn't say how long the electric motor is off before coming back on for another 10 seconds, but you'd think that under load, headed up an incline, that intermittent drop and reengagement of 148 ft lbs of torque would be quite noticeable!
I picked this up from Etsy...

I find my stereo actually sounds better with the front speaker out of there. Plus, it's not getting a constant charge. When headed to the beach or wherever I might be...
