I would totally buy these shocks if I could. My rig has Fox 2.5s and I hate having to constantly adjust my ressies for the terrain at hand. I’m interested to see how your taco performs after this install. I’ll be following…
I get 13 mpg at highway speed but drop to 10 mpg through LA city streets. I'm also carrying a lot of weight so my mpg might improve if I dropped some items. I don't plan to though.
37 x 12.5 R17 Toyo Open Country RT Pros, 74Weld portals, +45 wheel offset, Rough Country fender flares. The clearance and gear reduction feels amazing. Can't say enough good things about this setup.
UPDATE #2: I think I figured out the problem. I removed the driver side PCB board to see what was on the other side and it turns out a second PCB is right underneath and it was water damaged. See below pics. Not sure you can see in the photo but a few components were growing "rust fuzz" to...
UPDATE: It's been raining hard in LA the last week and I noticed my driver side headlight had moisture inside the glass cover. I removed the headlight and opened the cover with the PCB and several drops of water came out. I don't see any short or obvious damage but maybe there is??? However...
I agree with you and I wish I could revert back to OEM but I sold the original headlights that came with the truck around the time I installed the Alpharex. Sigh...
As I mentioned in my post, I don't think it's the alpharex headlights themselves that are the problem. It's gotta be a light switching control issue since I can get all the alpharex lights to turn on for different headlight setting on the steering wheel. However, I probably will reach out to...
I hope someone here can help. I'm starting to have serious problems with my aftermarket Alpharex headlights after 10 months with no issues. Depending on whether I have my lights set to auto or manual the passenger side headlight will either be completely on (DRL + main beams) or completely...
I live in CA and the snow season is about to begin. Mountain roads to the ski resorts sometimes require snow chains and I am clueless whether I should get chains, cables or socks for my 2025 Tacoma OR. What are the pros and cons of each? Also, how will I know if the traction device I choose...
Wow!!! That terra taco looks amazing! Yet more proof that building for function always results in a bad ass looking rig. You just gave me some great ideas for my own taco.
Jo_Eats_Dirt, your rig is frick'n awesome too!
BREAKING NEWS: R4T is regearing 2024+ Tacomas!!! They mentioned this a few days ago on their YouTube chanel. See minutes 12:05 until the end.
In the description they mention they are doing 4.88s from Revolution Gears. I also called them to confirm and they said they are in fact performing...
Interesting. I have the exact same sound on my truck and I also have aftermarket skids and suspension. My Toyota dealership said it was coming from my suspension and that they couldn’t do anything about it since it’s not OEM. I’ve also noticed that when I go offroading the sound disappears but...
Looks great! Do you notice any difference in ride quality with the gearing provided by the portals? Also, can you post side and rear photos of your rig?
