  1. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

I don't think so. But it will probably stop me from switching to smoked rear lights because of how bright they would be in comparison. I like them overall, although they're WILDLY bright when in reverse.
  2. Idaho Taco Build

Honestly I grew up doing sports where all of the good equipment was made of carbon fiber so I'm here for it (to a fault). Keep up the rad mods.
  3. Idaho Taco Build

This is awesome. I keep thinking about adding something carbon fiber to the truck or my Harley, but the cost vs actual gain in anything other than looks holds me back... mostly because they're already both black. The carbon on this color looks so solid. Genuinely envious. Great choices.
  4. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

Ugh, this is so frustrating. Another $1k I didn't plan to spend, but it sounds inevitable.
  5. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

I like the hitch slider a lot. Super nifty little thing that helps with the jarring hit the hitch takes every now and then. As for the sliders, this is really good to know. I'd hoped they'd been built in a similar style to the other competitors out there, but I guess I'll need to look into...
  6. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

This post has been a long time coming for me, so here we are. I'll probably never run out of things I want to do to it, but at least I've got it ready for the trails now. Huge shoutout to Chassis Unlimited for hooking me up with a discount on the bumper in exchange for showing it off a bit...
  7. Are the Trailhunter's springs different from other 4th gen models?

I appreciate the help. Maybe I'll just throw them up on FB market place here for like $200 and see if anyone bites, because shipping them sounds like a huge pain.
  8. Are the Trailhunter's springs different from other 4th gen models?

I just changed mine out, and I'm wondering if I should just get rid of them, or if they're worth giving to a buddy to trying to sell. I can't seem to find any information on the difference or compatibility with the other models anywhere.
  9. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

Here's a screenshot of what I had to buy from the dealership to make it stock without the rack.
  10. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

All of the mods listed in the original post have been completed. Updated photos coming soon! I also managed to get a nasty scrape on the hood and down the passenger side while riding through some brush (off-trail). Glad my orbital sander doubles as a buffing/polishing tool. Wouldn't be doing it...
  11. HAM and GMRS Radio Installs in 4th gen Tacoma -- Post Your Setups

Do passengers ever complain? I know my (lovely) wife will give me a hard time for taking any of her legroom even with a flush mount.
  12. CBI Offroad Covert Super Stock Bumper Install

I know I'm being obnoxious, but it still has a terrible logo at the bottom. I even considered going up in how much I'd spend and considered Addicted Desert Design, but they said it won't work with the stock skid plate and want $600 for theirs. ?
  13. CBI Offroad Covert Super Stock Bumper Install

Is the plate in front of the light removable so I could create one to block off the area?
  14. CBI Offroad Covert Super Stock Bumper Install

After completely reading this (and not just skimming like the first time), I'm unsure if I want to go this route. How frustrating. The inability to bolt the bottom of the bumper you mentioned makes me nervous. I wish there were more options for simple bumpers like this. Every other company...
  15. HAM and GMRS Radio Installs in 4th gen Tacoma -- Post Your Setups

Is the black a slightly different color than the other buttons in the center console? Not that it really matters.
  16. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

    Super helpful! Thanks so much!
  17. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

Oh it looks like my last question was answered here. So I'll need to look into a relay.
  18. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

There are add-ons to increase the amperage to them, right? Unless I misunderstood when looking.
  19. Limitations to factory AUX buttons?

I'm new to wiring my own electronics, but have a couple of different lights either ordered or on my list. I've read there are some limitations to what you can use the AUX buttons with without modifications for larger lights. Can someone explain this to me and tell me what I need to look into if...
  20. Gold In Them Thrills x 2025 Trailhunter Build and Progress

The springs listed are for front and back. They have various different levels for whether you want them for more weight (for example people who add huge campers to the back of a their truck and don't want sag). Ignoring weight, the Trailhunter already has a small lift, so this should lift it...
