  1. What PSI are you running?

Update on the chalk test for the E-load KO3's: there was no significant difference between 35psi and 50psi for the chalk pattern. I was trying to find the upper limit to get any change in the chalk test. I took it around the block at 50 and it was every bit as teeth-rattling as y'all have been...
  2. What PSI are you running?

According to @tacorancher’s link https://tiresize.com/pressure-calculator/ 30psi for standard load tires equals 40psi for E-loads in our size. I’ll see if I can find some sidewalk chalk this weekend to confirm some of these conflicting factors floating around.
  3. What PSI are you running?

I have the opposite problem. My dealer brings mine down from 35 to 30 to match the door card. At 35 I don’t feel it jumping around, but I do notice a bigger hit to MPG at 30.
  4. What PSI are you running?

I personally do find that they throw more stones from trails and dirt roads. The lugs on the tires are spaced farther apart so they pick up bigger rocks than the stock tires do. My back fenders have probably a dozen rock chips since I got the ko3’s. I grabbed some Ark mudflaps to replace my...
  5. What PSI are you running?

same tires, same size, same question :cwl: I've been running about 32-36 (cold) on the street for 4k miles or so. I haven't bothered to do the chalk test. I'm curious what other people will say. edit: oops, I'm actually 265/70/18 on my E-load KO3's. Still curious.
  6. Clunk when making first stop of the day

My 24 hybrid does it too. It annoyed me enough that I bought a cheap Bluetooth OBD2 reader off Amazon. That shows that the issue happens during a shift from second to first right as I come to a complete stop. Mine also only does it when it's cold. I haven't asked my dealer about it yet and also...
  7. Carwash (with sunroof)

As a follow up to this, my drain seemed clear from what I could tell, but also the dribbles never happened again and I’ve been through the same car wash several more times. I’m fine calling this pilot error and OP doesn’t have anything to worry about. Also I’m grateful to learn about the...
  8. Tire Size and Load Rating - Best Match for Trailhunter on 17" and 18"

I have an OR Hybrid and just put ko3’s on stock size last weekend. I was pretty concerned about ride quality with E load tires but I’ve been surprised how minimal the difference is. I stuck with stock size (265/70/18) to minimize the added weight. It’s only been a few days, but peace of mind has...
  9. Premium Fuel or Regular

That’s another way to look at it. 7% hp gain for 30% higher fuel cost per gallon depending on the station. You also hit peak hp at 6000 rpm, so if you don’t wring it out that far, you won’t see the biggest gains. I don’t have a consistent mpg improvement number, but theoretically there’s that...
  10. Random 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen Photos of the Day - Post Yours! 📸 🤳

Looking good! Love the black and white combo. The red tow hooks are also on my todo list.
  11. Random 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen Photos of the Day - Post Yours! 📸 🤳

Found some forest roads to break in the ko3’s! Snapped this quick photo on the way home.
  12. Premium Fuel or Regular

Youtube is great! I agree with you (and the ChrisFix video), except dyno shows these engines produce more power on 91 than 87. 91 isn't inherently better quality than 87, these engines just run a little better on it, according to dyno testing. The ECU can compensate for either one. You can have...
  13. Random 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen Photos of the Day - Post Yours! 📸 🤳

New Shoes Saturday! Stock size 265/70/18 Ko3’s on stock wheels. I was worried about ride quality for E load tires but they’ve been surprisingly great for the first 50 or so miles so far! Smaller bumps are less noticeable than stock AT3W-A tires. Cornering and acceleration seem identical to...
  14. Premium Fuel or Regular

Same, I saw this video shortly before picking up my 24 and it’s been only Premium for me. Also only Top Tier stations, usually Costco for price. I’ve been averaging 22-24 mpg per tank mixed city/highway, and I’ve gotten has high as 30.2 over 60 flat miles moderately babying it, or 26 up the...
  15. Carwash (with sunroof)

I’ve been taking my 24 through about twice a week too, and recently I’ve gotten a couple dribbles through the sunroof for the first time. That’s helpful advice to check before next wash, thanks! Also I have been using the sunroof more with spring weather and it’s very possible I didn’t hold the...
  16. Factory manuals currently 20% discount

Right after I downloaded everything off the FactoryManuals site, I also got frustrated with the HTML links and instead dumped the PDFs into Evernote like I mentioned. Evernote lets me search for anything in any of those PDFs without using the indexes. I'm sure there are cheaper tools out there...
  17. Factory manuals currently 20% discount

I would agree about searching. I have an Evernote subscription for something else, but I just dumped all 5000+ PDFs from this manual in there to make them much easier to search. If that’s all you used Evernote for, that subscription wouldn’t be worth it, but it works for me and the info became...
  18. Factory manuals currently 20% discount

I also bought the manual using the coupon code from this thread. I cleaned up the index html files for Electrical Manual, Body Manual, Repair Manual. I've been happy with this purchase.
