The dealer is bringing the truck back in. Something about too much torque through the axle and they are replacing the axle with a new system they developed...I wonder what it will be this time? At this point I'm not sure if this is "add" related or not, but I do not have confidence in Toyota.

What a rollercoaster! The dealer called and said they were wrong. It's actually the front timing cover that's leaking onto the diff. At this point I don't think I believe them because the oil smelled like gear oil and I'm curious if they're trying to skirt around the lemon law.

Got confirmation today that the truck is getting it's second replacement diff.

I'm not entirely sure, but it was about a month ago that the diff was replaced. At the time it was the "first in the country" with a cracked diff according to the dealer, but the truck is a '25. They've had the truck for a week now for a leak from the front diff. I suspect they are replacing it...

Fwiw I have a friend with a 4th gen. Her diff has already "cracked" and been replaced under warranty. I noticed what I thought was diff oil on the driveway after she was parked yesterday. Going to inspect tomorrow, but I hope it's not a second diff. No off-roading. When she was at the dealer...
