Again what I am saying is that where it is built has nothing to do with how reliable it is. Toyota has a set specific standard to production quality. The issues people are having with any Tacoma, comes down to part issues not assembly. Same with the Tundra. All the numerous different problems...
Production quality has nothing to do with the reliability. So the move from Mexico to USA serves no purpose but to create more American jobs(which is a good thing). Almost any reliability issues come down to poor part quality, which parts are made across the globe so there isn't necessarily one...
In that comment I listed both the red insert and black versions of the door panels. But I can post them again here with just the black ones:
Driver door panel: 67620-AK061-C4
Passenger door panel: 67610-AK061-C4
C4 is black with red stitching and C5 is the sensual red
I work in parts so I like to test out a lot of tires so that I can stand behind my recommendations. So I get they might not stand out as the best tire when comparing the options out there in terms of grip performance, but I found the Falkens do really good and stand out as one of the better all...
Do you have photos of the actual covers? This looks like a picture of the OEM covers straight out of the TRD Pro. It even has the plastic back sections which shows this is the IsoDynamic seating.
Not sure if they work on Tacomas or just cars but there was a person advertised on Instagram for wrapping interior panels in Alcantara which looked really good. The profile name is SWEIDIT. If you were to reach out I am sure they can tell you what can or can not be done. I am also not sure if...
Short drives, and it being a hybrid can lead to the 12v battery being insufficiently charged. If you do a lot of city driving where the engine isnt running due to using the hybrid power, the main 12v battery may not be recharging enough.
EDIT: Also to add to this, Toyota has been having...
Is this an issue exclusive to 2026? Only cases of any engine issues I have really seen have all been brand new trucks... I wonder if they changed manufacturing process for 2026 engines and this is causing the problem.
Nope no end links. All the kits include; the upper arms, lower brackets that connect to the lower arms, front and rear shocks, springs, outer tie rods, cv axles on trd sport and sr5 trims, and any small non reusable hardware that needs replacing.
Highly advise against it. Unless you are doing a 6" lift, it serves no benefit. There will be no real damage done to the differential just because you do a 1-3" lift. Only thing that may be required is the ECGS bushing kit as the needle bearing in the front might go prematurely. Toyotas own OEM...
Aside from campaign recalls like the Tundra, Toyota does not sell long blocks(complete assemblies). The only way to do a brand new complete motor is to order a new short block, and all other parts that are necessary to make a complete engine. Which going by 2023 and previous Tacomas, costs...
Wow I really like the look of those. My biggest complaint with the AlphaRex units was how the smoked lens looked and this solves that completely and even changes the look ever so slightly from OEM.
Would have liked to see Mishimoto included in these tests but looking at the results, its pretty clear it wouldn't be much different. Very small differences between the intakes. Though I have to wonder, if a change in altitude or air density would start to show where one could start to take a...
Yea front bumper needs to come off. There are three bolts that hold it on, one that’s easy access just under the hood on the top, one is on the front hidden behind the grille and one going through the bumper retainer that hold the lamp in place.
Yes that part should fit a long bed. The center pipe is only made in one length and technically Toyota advertises this as a complete kit(containing 2 part number) and because the center pipe on the long bed is different they do not list it for the 6ft trucks. But the Rear axle portion should all...
Sorry I am late to the party lol but I can confirm where the differences are. The center pipes appear to be where the difference in length is, as a truck with a 5ft bed has part number: 17420-AK010 for the stock center pipe and the 6ft bed trucks have: 17420-AK020. From what I can see, all the...
Larger gas tank. Soft touch materials on the dash and doors as standard(get rid of that hard plastic), with higher quality materials like leather on higher trims. Crew cab option to add a little extra rear seat space with a 5ft box as only bed option(with overall wheelbase being somewhere just...
Has it been proven on this engine? No not yet and probably not likely, so you are right that this may not apply. But why I mentioned the whole under “extreme conditions” thing is simply because the oil itself will begin to break down once it reaches a certain temperature, which it can then leave...
I never said anything about the owners manual. After saying the engineers know best I gave my personal opinion. My opinion not being based on the oil itself but on how the engine would be protected. There really isn’t any need to change viscosity, but if you operate under “extreme conditions”...
