I installed Falcon shocks on my 2019 Ford Ranger. The Rangers were notorious for the CV axles separating internally if you didn’t remove the hub nut. I would assume they recommend doing it on the Tacoma because of that nightmare.
Yes, it is installed. It does plug directly into the third brake light but you do need to splice the Kuat light to the wires. I thought it was easy but it does take some time to do. I just put some heat shrink on the bed light wire and haven’t used it.
I ordered the brake light wiring harness from GG Offroad. It connects to the 3rd brake light so you have to pull down the headliner and then run it through one of the grommets under the rear seat.
I have the Ibex and haven’t noticed any decrease in mileage. After about a month of using it I added the panel kit. That didn’t affect my mileage either.

Yes they are at the lowest setting. They look to be sitting slightly lower than the Dex so I will need to raise them the next time I put my roof top tent on there.
