You are probably correct. I am a freak about noises in general, but I am very disappointed with this. Although it's not the motor per say, the truck flat out sounds terrible at times. I pray they fix it. I would really have a terrible time jumping ship to around brand next time around.

Just sharing my experience with my 24 Tacoma sr5 and engine noise. I noise I am referring to is the sporadic clattering injector noise. I bought the Carista scanner to turn off the noise features. I bought the Tacoma insulation under the hood as well. Since the noise would always come and go...
