Hey I may be able to help you out. I'm in Georgia but I have brother in Bigbend that will driving here in early January and could return through Dallas on his way back with my sports bar. I have a TH that I bought this past spring and will be getting a camper shell next year and will have to get...
Yeah, the SP looks great, and I strongly considered it. The reason I'm going with the LP is that I frequently take a kayak on my adventures, and I think the LP will allow me to keep it up top with the tent deployed and still clear the windshield because of how far the LP extends over the cab...
Thanks for the reply, lots of useful information. I joined the Facebook owners' group this summer and you are right about lots of helpful people! I plan to build mine out with some side cabinets that double as a way to get into the sleeping area. I'm a carpenter/fabricator by profession so I'm...
I've been told from another forum that the CBI covert bumper doesn't interfere with the TH skid and I think only weighs about 65 lbs. with the bull bar option. This is the bumper that I'll probably get for mt TH. 2024 Toyota Tacoma Covert Front Bumper | CBI Offroad Fab
I’m definitely not an expert but my understanding is that spacers are not a good idea. But you could swap out the front springs and get some more lift. Just my two cents. What are your thoughts on the Lonepeak? That is the camper I plan on getting for my long bed TH and I will be swapping out...
I’ve been slightly above the bottom of the doors on a river crossing in the Ozarks on a stock tire Trailhunter and had no water intrusion whatsoever. I stared at that crossing for a good long time and even waded through in my sandals before actually taking the truck into it, lol.
I have one of these not from HF but exactly the same. It’s mostly used for doing my business when remote camping but it comes in handy around fire pits and fine tuning a flat spot to pitch a tent. If I ever needed it to get unstuck, it would definitely be better than using my hands. Very...
Nice. I have been looking at those not for bikes but for spare tire/fuel. I'm also probably going to get a Lone Peak in the next year or so depending on funds. Please post your impressions on the LP when you get some time with it.
Give SPV a call. I couldn't find just the harness on their website, but I'm 90% certain that they will sell you the harness if you already have the lights, and they are super helpful and nice. I highly recommend the harness; it makes it much easier to install.
Thanks for responding. That sounds like a great setup. I'm definitely considering the Dobinson's for the lift. Future plans include a Lone Peak Topper which will add at least 500lbs to the back when it's built out.
I'm still considering the Nitto's; I want to keep the factory wheels. It's one...
While looking for a SL rated tire for the stock Trailhunter wheels I came across these Nitto Recons 295/70R18 116S. It's a 34.29" tire and only 52.48lbs. and seems almost perfect for the TH but honestly, I don't really have much experience with off road tires. Most of my driving is to work and...
