Thanks for the tips! I will try and be diligent with the sealing. I'm coming from Atlanta, lol, and plan to catch a Braves game against the Mariners during the first week of May. I plan to get the install a couple of weeks before then and do some exploring around the area with the new camper...
Hey Dan, I came across your thread after searching for Lonepeak. I just received an email that my build is ready for install and I will be driving to Washington in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if you did the recommended bed cap seal before picking yours up and any advice on the subject...
FYI they have two different versions, the Covert like I have and the Super Covert like Tfouts has. Both have there advantages and disadvantages. Good luck with your purchase!
Have you considered the Project M Four Wheel Camper? It should be considerably lighter because it sits on the rails. If you go with something similar to the M there are a myriad of choices. The Tune is a great model to consider but as you stated it isn’t built out. Super Pacific, Gofast and Lone...
I’ve had my truck for almost a year now and I have never had a problem with it starting although it’s rare that it sits more than a couple of days. FYI I wired the winch directly to the battery with 20’ of 2 awg cable with a solenoid interrupt, wired to one of the auxiliary switches. Good luck...
I have a 12k winch on my TH but I haven’t had to do a recovery yet. I did pull the truck with light brake pressure to tension the synthetic line onto the reel with zero problems. Where did you get this information about an anemic 12v system?
Trailhunter here, not currently running these but this is probably the tire I'll be going with the stock TH wheels and suspension, when the original tires wear out. It seems to check all of the boxes, being a SL load tire. I think the height will be perfect but I wish that it was a little skinnier.
I have been looking at the Nittos in this size for my TH. Did you have these on your truck before you did the lift and if so, did you have any rubbing or any other issues? Thanks
A guy on this forum, I forget his name, had the same problem and got a new one from Sixth Element and he gave me the defective one. I ended up drilling out the big hole on it slightly and rotating it away from the recovery point and it works fine with the Amazon step I purchased.
Hey I may be able to help you out. I'm in Georgia but I have brother in Bigbend that will driving here in early January and could return through Dallas on his way back with my sports bar. I have a TH that I bought this past spring and will be getting a camper shell next year and will have to get...
Yeah, the SP looks great, and I strongly considered it. The reason I'm going with the LP is that I frequently take a kayak on my adventures, and I think the LP will allow me to keep it up top with the tent deployed and still clear the windshield because of how far the LP extends over the cab...
Thanks for the reply, lots of useful information. I joined the Facebook owners' group this summer and you are right about lots of helpful people! I plan to build mine out with some side cabinets that double as a way to get into the sleeping area. I'm a carpenter/fabricator by profession so I'm...
