My neighbor has a non-hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road without the premium package. I just went over and looked at his underhood passenger side fuse / relay box and he has all four brown relays installed in those four slots. Still trying to figure out what those TAIL GATE 1 and TAIL GATE 2...

The brown ones in my post above? They just pull straight up / out. Just used my fingers to pull them out.

That’s what I thought too, but the power tailgate works just fine without anything installed in Tail Gate 1 or Tail Gate 2 slots.
