  1. Introducing the ARB Winch for the 4th Gen Tacoma

pretty weak. Post should be "introducing the ARB winch for the toyota landcruiser (will fit tacoma as well) Further, your website doesnt even list the winch as an available product for the 4th gen. You tried, I guess... Also, LOL at "to use our ARB winches with our ARB bumpers designed for ARB...
  2. TRD lift vs Billstein 5100 or 6112.

I think the 5100s are a better value because they’re cheap and presumably good shocks. They aren’t going to hang as far as oerformance. My point was more that 5100s are big bang for the buck. 6112s are amazing, I just don’t think they’re 4x better necessarily, if that makes sense. The only...
  3. Alignment Specs after 5100 leveling

Alignment tech is an idiot. 4th gen cam bolts are 206 ft/lb. My alignment guy torqued them to the 3rd gen spec - 106. The shit creaked like a 100 year old floorboard. Shocker: that all went away when I torqued them to 206.
  4. TRD lift vs Billstein 5100 or 6112.

Go with the 6112s imo. No chance you're getting the performance they offer out of a 2" shock. They're so smooth and just soak up hits. I haven't slowed down over a speed bump since I installed them, quite the opposite, I actually speed up.
  5. Michigan CaliRaised Step Edition Rock Sliders — 2024+ Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed - $600

wow thats a steal. I have these on my truck, also bought used but paid 1k which I thought was a very good deal. Someone buy these, I promise you'll be thrilled with them.
  6. Bilstein 6112/6100 Install + Suspension Overhaul

Nice! Pretty funny, I have the same exact setup. 6112, 6100, Icon UCA, 817 springs, BOTCK, dobinsons end links, Cali raised sliders. It's great off road. You're right about the price point being just right. I really like these shocks, but you can tell they aren't a super premium offering. At...
  7. Transmission Replaced Issue Confirmed

Im gonna guess you're getting a new transmission (if they can replicate it - good luck with that)
  8. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

They just feel way more stable. You can take corners at 30+ and not feel like you’re about to roll it.
  9. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Thx! Drives perfectly. I prefer the feel of these to 255/80 open country E loads and WAY prefer them to the falkens. I think this is a perfect tire for these trucks. Will update as it wears, but very happy with them. Dash is showing 15.2, so probably about 16.2 actual.
  10. SimpleTire Sponsorship + Giveaway Opportunity!

link is broken (both the one you wrote and the one you linked)
  11. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Pretty much the same ass size as a 285/75 open country.
  12. Full size spare no longer fits after Track Bar Correction Kit

For anyone else reading: This is ~100% from the track bar relocation. I did the track bar correction first and it solved all of the sway / bump travel. I didn't go with the kings (though I would have if I saw that price...) but instead the dobinsons adjustable ones. I didn't notice much of a...
  13. WHATS THIS THUD SOUND!?

Did you personally torque down your lca bolts after alignment? The torque spec is 205 but alignment shops are used to doing ~110 on 3g tacomas. This made some nasty clunking / creeking for me. Another source for a similar sound for me was adjustable sway bar end links. I have the dobinsons ones...
  14. Bolt on Turbo Upgrade from Big Dawgs Toyota Tuning for the 2.4T Engine

I'm not an engineer and don't have the know how. Whats stopping you?
  15. Bolt on Turbo Upgrade from Big Dawgs Toyota Tuning for the 2.4T Engine

  16. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Ended up returning these. Got a set of toyo open country 35x12.5r17 in C load and way happier. They actually roll instead of immediately slowing the truck down to a crawl. Definitely not as beefy for off road, but I am loving them.
  17. Bilstein Shocks Defective

No weight, bone stock.. yeah, they ride well. Modify anything in anyway and their inadequacies shine.
  18. Bilstein Shocks Defective

    those shocks are dogshit
  19. Installed: Bilstein 6112 / 6110, Icon UCAs, Dobinson 817 rear springs

I'm so glad I didn't end up doing business with Shock Surplus. I, like presumably everyone else, have watched a ton of their youtube videos so I figured may as well give them some business. I was ready to buy these shocks from them and have them install them. They were going to film it and put...
