For a manual transmission truck, the OTT tune is the #1 mod. I love that Toyota still offers the 6MT, but Toyota doesn't tune the engine response how they should for a manual.

You should test drive one, and include parking it. There will be less visibility around the vehicle and less maneuverability. If you feel like you can adjust to that, it might be a good option for you.

These days you have to get the MT while it's still available. Very cool that the Tacoma still has the option.

It's probably cheaper for them to replace the transmission rather than remove it, inspect all the internals and replace everything that might be damaged, rebuild it, and hope the problem was fixed and will last the length of the warranty. If not fixed, remove and inspect again, etc.
