Congratulations! Now the $64,000 question...is the noise gone? It's amazes me how much racket a small piece of debris can make when lodged in a blower.
My bed has the sprayed in bedliner so the tray has a bit more to grip. The tray is made by PIG and is about 34" x 52" x 5" and will hold about 30 gallons. I seldom use the bed without the tray in place, in fact, I take it out most often just to hose it out. We make frequent trips to Costco...
I would start with removing the cowl vent panel at the base of the windshield and check for a dead rodent. This is where air enters the cabin so it is the logical place to find a source of the stench. A decomposing rodent would smell the worst when wet.
Nice truck!
Years ago a good friend bought one equipped just like yours...bare necessities, just a good reliable truck. Everytime I see one like this it reminds me of him and I have to smile. Enjoy your new truck!
Sorry to hear about your accident...hope that you will be happy with your replacement Taco. I was rearended in my 2000 Dakota R/T last New Years day... didn't seem like much damage (bumper and tailgate) but shops around town didn't want to fix it and the insurance offer was low too low for a...
I misspoke in my last post, the logo is not in a recess, it is on a raised section. I would say that if an enterprising truck owner REALLY wanted the logo that he could make a mold from a bed that had the logo and then cast the logo panel and attach that logo to their bed prior to spraying the...
Thanks for the link...the header panel has vertical ribs all across the panel. On my coated bed there is a recess in the center where the "TACOMA" letters are placed. I would say that cutting the ribs to establish this recess would not be feasible.
Can someone post a photo of a bed without the logo? My bed (with logo) is a little more involved than just the lettering...just wondering if the non-logo bed only differs by the text.
I have a 25 OR with the factory bedliner applied. I like it but, that said, I haven't seen a bed without it to compare it to.
I used to build custom trucks/cars and I have sprayed a lot of bedliner...my choice was Raptor liner as it was easy to apply and it came in a tintable version so you...
