My other trucks have the

Looked at all of these manufacturers, (3) so far. So far nothing for the hybrid trucks, or at least none of them say they are specifically for the iMax system. This is my first Hybrid vehicle from what I have read adding aftermarket stuff such as power steps can really mess with the computer, like throwing a CEL... Grooooaning :p
Installed the Rough Country E-boards on my hybrid, It's actually easier, the power tap can go up through right next to the battery there is already a blank rubber grommet there.

The wife loves them, I hate them. The actuator linkages are not sealed, and have brass bushings that start to make this terrible squeal every time they deploy. Douching them with oil works for a few off road trips.

If I had to do it over, rocksliders...

So what are all these aftermarket side steps for? For me it's getting in & out of the truck. So how come none of these manufactures show a simple video of a guy getting in & out of a truck after install??
Without an A pillar grab handle my stock predator steps are a joke, getting in not so bad, getting out I know I am going to destroy the left side seat bolster.
Gonna wait for the AMP Research steps for my 24' Taco to be released... Some day :)
I also have a 2018 with factory nerfs on them and absolutely hate them, especially with no grab handle other than the steering wheel or top of the door. Wife thinks they're great, but she's 5'. I think the seat bolster on my 2025 is actually taller than the '18, so it's going to get broken down faster if I don't do something about entry & exit soon.

A pillar grab handle solution: BGUCAR on Amazon. Replaces the airbag cover trim. They have them for both Gen 3 & 4. Gen 4 always has the speaker option as far as I can tell, so won't perfectly match the passenger molding unless you have the fancy stereo if you care about that. I don't, I just want the grab handle and don't care that it has a provision for the fancy stereo system speaker and the other side does not. At least in black, surface texture, color, and grab handle design match factory pretty close to perfectly. According to reviews, screw cover panels may need the help of weak adhesive like silicone seal. Haven't installed mine yet.

For a temporary solution until you get your AMPs: Trumgeta EZ step C1844V30 for 2-door or C1844V29 for all 4 doors. Rock sliders like Greenlane are not really meant to be great steps, they are really meant to be better at vehicle protection than steps even though they can work as minimalist steps. Greenlane will tell you how high the slider is and how far out it sticks if you ask, and several of the slider manufacturers have it buried in their specs somewhere. I think Rough Country also tells you how far their step type boards are below the rocker or the pinch weld. Almost bought Greenlanes for mine, or Rough Country SRL2 but for the ugly end caps (SRL2 is not a slider), so just went for Trumgeta EZ at 1/10th the price of Greenlane for a temporary fix until I decide or see something I just can't do without. Almost decided to make my own frame mounted out of 80/20 aluminum extrusion and parts from McMaster until I saw the Trumgeta EZ. I could make a frame mounted version of the SRL2 pretty easily going that route. You can reclaim most of your ground clearance for a temporary trip with the SRL2, the EZ or an 80/20 fabrication. The EZ only takes removal of 3 screws per step to get all your ground clearance back. FWIW, I think it may be Rough Country (not sure) that does show someone getting out of a truck onto one of their steps, maybe in one of their SRL2 videos. But I think they cleverly only show the foot going down on the step, not the contortions going on above that required to keep from ripping the bolster off the seat without bashing your head into the door frame.

For now, the EZ steps and Weathertech mud flaps will have to do for lower body rock chip protection on my '25 Taco. May end up rethinking that in the end.

Not sure how you got that impression since there are over a half dozen companies mentioned in the post and I am retired so have exactly zero interest in how much money any one of those companies make and was merely stating my opinion about what I have researched on the net. But all trolls are entitled to their opinion, so I will shut up and refrain from any further discussion on this thread per your request. Have a wonderful day.
