Shrug.Just for sake of discussion, (to play Devil's Advocate), I'll ask: Why?
In what material way is your life changed for the better by reducing your footprint?
Or, in what material way would it changed for the worse by not taking the various steps you take?
I’m a privacy minded person. I’m going to do it anyways. It’s not a question of better or worse, it’s a question of “how much of myself am I willing to sell for convenience?”
what I don’t understand is why you’re so concerned about convincing me to give up more privacy.
it’s less offensive when it comes with a benefit (Google maps, for example), but being asked to pay and STILL having my data mined…pisses me off and I’m going to thumb my nose at that actively.
If Toyota wanted to straight trade data for neat features w/o subscription, I’d be more inclined, or if I paid for the subscription, they don’t mine my data. But to do both, fuck them. I’m gunna take away their data and not pay the subscription.
