Toyo and Nitto Recall 64 Tires Types & Sizes (Recall List)

The recall includes 64 different types and sizes of tires (full list below). Toyo says to look out for localized rapid tread wear, increased noise, vibration, and/or bulging in the tread area.

Summary
Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc. (Toyo) is recalling certain Open Country A/T III, Open Country R/T Trail, Open Country M/T, Open Country H/T II, Crosstek 2, Dura Grappler Highway Terrain, Exo Grappler AWT, Mud Grappler Extreme Terrain, Recon Grappler A/T, Ridge Grappler, Terra Grappler G3 A/T, and Trail Grappler M/T tires. Please see the attached tire chart for all affected sizes. Contamination during production may reduce adhesion and cause the tread to separate.

Remedy
Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 13, 2025. Owners may contact Toyo's customer service at 800-442-8696 and Nitto Tire owners may contact Nitto's Customer Care at 888-529-8200.

just read article saying “Toyo tires and “Nitto Tires are issuing a recall, due to premature wearing and tire seperation, The “D.O.T. Code on sidewal, ends in #0425….Tires manufactured in 4 th week of January 2025, Contact your tire dealer for confirmation and they will replace tires ……Toyo said this is from a manufactureing issue where in process of the tire being constructed a machine defect was creating bad tires, “Toyo states they will back up all defected tires with replacement, contact the selling dealer of your tires….Just a friendly heads up guys

……. NOTE. Ater i went to the Toyo site, theres an extensive list with tire code #,s. Probably best thing to do is pull the list up, check your #,s on tires , They have the customer service contact info and this recall expires on june-26

I called Nitto and, at least for the Terra Grappler G3, the recall is only for 265s with a 17 inch rim. Hope that helps some of you out there!

I went back to toyos sit and there was a long page of serial numbers and also tire sizes, im happy they are making good on replacement of tires,

I called Nitto and, at least for the Terra Grappler G3, the recall is only for 265s with a 17 inch rim. Hope that helps some of you out there!

Confirm E load only in that size? I have C load, not listed, fingers crossed...

Interestingly the Canadian website only indicates the Open Country M/T 33/12.5R18 122Q is affected. Must have been limited shipments from the bad batch to Canada.
