I think cruise control will drag the brakes, and it doesn't trigger the brake light notification in the dash.
I hate the auto braking, and I have that turned off as part of the lane control feature, but I'm convinced it's still used in cruise control without notification.
The yellow top is on my 24 Tacoma non hybrid. Red top I have on a 200k mi scion xb.
The super capacitor is great, my xb can sit for a week and starts like it has 13v every time.
My Tacoma was in the Toyota options research fleet, and had 1,500 miles when I got it. It clearly sat because the...
For what it's worth, I have ten years on an Optima Red top with no issues. It shows its age now that I don't drive that car daily, and probably should be replaced. I was perfectly comfortable with the Yellow Top from this experience.
I recently installed this on my ten-year-old red top to test...
Could be the driveway, but could also be a parts failure. See attached
MONITOR DESCRIPTION When pressure pulsation caused by purge VSV operation in the boost range is less than the threshold value, it is determined that a high load purge line malfunction has occurred and a DTC is stored.
Any specialized bug-and-tar spray should work well. I have a can of mothers tar and Bug remover, worthless for tree sap, but it works great on bugs as a pre wash step, they blast right off with the pressure washer. The ceramic coat makes it a lot easier, but avoid scrubbing with a sponge to get...

Agreed, the Turtle Wax graphene spray wax is great if you want to keep it simple.
That said, the adams advanced graphene coating is on another level. I used to detail cars when these coatings came out, and It's amzing how far they've come with their ease of application, and how well they...
It's your truck, so do as you like, but I'll share my approach.
I'm on a 5w-20 restore and protect every 3 months schedule because I plan to put 200k on the truck and live in a warmer climate. I use the amsoil filter (99% rated at 20 microns) and change it every other oil change. It's a...
They're great, but not a layer that will prevent all wash marring, it still needs care and upkeep, so keep expectations in line. I would not expect them to last 10 years under normal daily driving conditions.
If you're DIY capable, you can coat with something like Adams Poslishes graphene...
