My '25 SR5 replaced my '12 SR5, which I gave my son. Use it as a daily driver, dump runner every weekend, and hauler for travel gear and kayaks. I'd be happy to post install/usage images of the new steps.
I've found it to be accurate. I reactivated my Fuelly account because I couldn't believe how good the mileage was(over 25 mpg in the warm weather). I also changed the calculation method to Tank average, so it resets each fuel up. I still record each fill for graphing in Fuelly.
Think you'd need a different hybrid system in the truck entirely instead of software changes. It's designed for hp and torque, not efficiency. I get better MPGs in my '25 SR5(combined 26 MPG warm weather/ combined 21 MPG very cold weather) than the hybrid(23 MPG rating), but I only have 278...
I have a D-Lumina brand bed mat from Amazon. Lightweight, molded to match the ribs on the bed, and has a raised edge all around that keeps stuff dry when a little water comes in during heavy rains. Keeps stuff from sliding around.
I slide it out when I do cleanups from my yard to the dump...
I kind of like the air dam on my '25 Underground SR5 4WD, it mostly blends in. I do pay attention to curbs when I park. May take it off in December for protection from snow banks, but it'll go back on end of March if I do that.
Every Toyota we've owned for the past 13 years has been able to...
I got this one at Amazon. It was cheaper and looks a lot more "factory" than the rough 3D-printed ones on eBay. Holds a few keys and the rubber mat has stopped any rattling.
Nice. I got the same one at Home Depot for $10 also. Left it in the bubble wrap to avoid rattling and it fits behind the OEM door. Couldn't see spending $130 on one at the time. Also keep an LED O-Light in the cubby next to the o-crap handle.
My 3 month extension @ $5 ends next week, will have to try this.
I've found the Sirius reception is much better on my '25 SR5 and wife's '22 RAV4 than I got on my '12 SR5. Only time it cuts out is in a few spots in the mountains.
I put a few thousand songs on a USB stick that I keep plugged...
At a minimum, a matching grab handle for the driver side. Even better would be true grab-through handles for both driver and passenger sides like the 2nd gen passenger handle.
Got my '25 SR5, 4 door 4WD 5 ft bed, new in Apri, @ ~8000 miles now. Per Fuelly app, averaging 26.3 mpg so far; last 3 fill ups were 28 mpg each. Even 10 days straight of stop & go in July I still got 21 mpg.
Running everything stock, came with factory Predator step rails, air dam still in...
That's the problem with posting short "trips"; they're not statistically accurate. There are too many variables over a true trip to claim mileage based on 10 mile trips. Aero also won't come into play at neighborhood speeds.
I didn't believe the trip computer, so I started to use Fuelly again...
