At a minimum, a matching grab handle for the driver side. Even better would be true grab-through handles for both driver and passenger sides like the 2nd gen passenger handle.
Got my '25 SR5, 4 door 4WD 5 ft bed, new in Apri, @ ~8000 miles now. Per Fuelly app, averaging 26.3 mpg so far; last 3 fill ups were 28 mpg each. Even 10 days straight of stop & go in July I still got 21 mpg.
Running everything stock, came with factory Predator step rails, air dam still in...
That's the problem with posting short "trips"; they're not statistically accurate. There are too many variables over a true trip to claim mileage based on 10 mile trips. Aero also won't come into play at neighborhood speeds.
I didn't believe the trip computer, so I started to use Fuelly again...
Thanks. We were very lucky, only doing about 30mph in town. Saw the mom standing on the right side of the road. Her little one ran in front of me from the left side and I didn't see it until it's ears flashed in front of the passenger headlight. Went back and there was no sign of it.
Partially removed and reinstalled my front bumper cover this afternoon after hitting a small deer Friday night in upstate NY. Took about an hour to remove the bolts & clips and figure out the assembly method. Got lucky, one alignment tab on the bumper cover had a slight non-structural crack...
Inserted a mini drawer from Amazon in the tiny cubby hole on the dash; fits great and holds 5 keys nicely. Vacuumed out the mats & carpets of the Tacoma and wife's RAV4. Scrubbed my wheels, along with the RAV4 wheels. Pulled out the bed liner, scrubbed that clean. Then scrubbed the...
I was shocked that my dad bought a hybrid, he's pretty old fashioned. They only drive around town now at their age, so he wanted the city MPGs and didn't want to buy one of the next gens for a few years.
Congrats on the new Tacos! We're a Toyota family, too.
Daughter '20 & wife '22 have RAV4 XLEs. I got a '25 SR5 4x4 Tacoma in April, gave son my '12 SR5 2WD instead of trading it in; he has a '14 Camry for a daily driver. Dad & mom bought a '25 RAV4 Hybrid yesterday, traded in their '15...
They're not really OEM, they're Swing Cases with a Toyota sticker on them for double the price. Another thing I found on mine was that the latching mechanism corroded after a few years and had trouble latching.
I have a Swing Case in my 2012 Access Cab, gift from my kids. It has plastic hinge mounts, so I never put much heavy in it. Small, doesn't hold much. Also, the gasket failed and it filled with water after a rain storm. I asked they not get me one for the '25 Tacoma.
