You can “resume” at the lower speed. If you hit the cruise control button again, it will set it at your current speed and start cruise control. Resume will resume at your old speed and then you’ll have to adjust it from there.

The 2024 Hybrids do not have an alternator. They use the DC to DC converter for the 12v systems. The 2025 hybrids with 4 AUX switches do have an alternator to supplement the power draw. So it is possible the DC to DC converter of the Hybrid provides more amps for the sound system to work with.

Hmm. I’m no audiophile but I had a different experience. It added a ton of clarity and made the center speaker much less overwhelming. I tend to keep my volume fairly low though.

As far as I am aware the Trailhunter rear springs are beefed up and will add lift. It may end up being level without the rear springs by dropping the rear rather than raising the front, or in your case raising the front like a typical level. The trailhunter comes fairly level to start with...

Maybe I missed it, but moving the balance one tick backwards helped a lot for me. You mentioned moving things to the rear one notch with beat sonic. Either this is what you were talking about or it has a similar result.

I believe that should still have it. It may be in a slightly different location though. The plug is for the OEM dashcam. Not sure what year would be the cutoff for the Highlander.

What year and trim? As far as I’m aware they should all have it. The tech refresh is going to allow Toyota to record using the external cameras, but until then they should all have the accessory plug.

More than a small hack. That removes the OEM hitch which is part of the frame.

To be clear, Toyota sells the trim pieces which do not actually seal anything and are just cosmetic. The holes are originally sealed by a film that is painted over during manufacturing. You will need to do something to seal these holes.

I took mine off. I have not seen any good options. What I did was buy (8) M6x12mm bolts to plug the holes and then used some silicone caulk over them for weather sealant. Then when I sold the rack I traded the trim pieces with the guy I sold it to. I’ve seen other people just seal the holes...
