My F250 had police mode. You could jump out leave it running and lock with the remote. Would not physically go into gear without the fob. I tried. I sorely miss that feature.
I’m willing to put forth the effort if the harness is pre wired like most everything else. The hope was that it’s pre wired and basically everything else required just bolts in. Minus maybe painting a fuel door.
I’ve had 4 Tacoma's with the composite bed. My current has the spray in liner. The liner is so much better. The bare composite is slicker than snot when dry and worse when wet. It’s nice to have most things not slide around. Also the bare composite scratches and gouges quite easily.
Just my 2¢.
Yeah no kidding. I’d be interested in a dual battery set up as well. Definitely on a switch. Separate for winch and backup for starting. I wired my boat the same way. One for engine one for trolling motor, engine charged both. Rotate switch to start engine if needed.
Did you know just the head unit only will come on if you hit the power button after shut down. You will open and shut the door then hit the power button in the head unit.
Do yourself a favor and find a Toyota certified body repair shop near you before you go to the dealer. That way you can tell them where you are going to take it. Rather than the other way around.
