  1. Iowa Kuat IBEX Bed rack for Short bed Tacoma

Kuat IBEX for sale. I had it mounted to the truck for a few months. Its a really well engineered rack, all aluminum and so many options/features. However, I have height restrictions with my garage door and parking ramp at work, so my plan to mount my bikes to it was not going to work. You can...
  2. Engine pulley/serpentine belt chirping noise

I also just happened to be watching this tacoma exhaust video, and his does it at start up as well. Heres a time-stamped link to that video for reference.
  3. Engine pulley/serpentine belt chirping noise

Mine does this every startup it seems. IDK if the alternator and a/c are all immedietely loading up the engine and cause a little belt slip? Annoying for a brand new truck though.
  4. Protect Your Transmission: Mishimoto’s Solution for the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma

Looks like a nice setup. If theirs space for a thermal bypass in the kit Id be sold. Is their a specific Mishimoto model bypass valve that might work best?
  5. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

Had some time today to inspect the jbl sub and space behind the rear seats. I had my suspision the jbl sub was infinite baffle given it's small space but ability to get low. As it turns out. It is IB, and I may revisit that to build a higher output IB sub setup. With the sub cover popped off...
  6. Cobb Tuning has launched support for Tacoma (4th gen) and 4Runner (6th gen)

I was about to order another scanner just to monitor trans temps and things while pulling the camper and off-road situations. Figured thats $200 right there, so went ahead and ordered the Cobb.
  7. Cobb Tuning has launched support for Tacoma (4th gen) and 4Runner (6th gen)

My laptop with Access Tuner pro died a year or so back, and I heard thats no longer available to the general public? Not a deal breaker, but I do like to be able to make adjustments as I go along (If I could leave well enough alone I wouldnt be in here right?).
  8. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

I didnt take great photos of the doors unfortunately. But they are typical to most door panels for removal. At this stage I only did the outer skin of the door. I find this has the largest impact on road noise and improving the sound from the door speakers (biggest bonus). 4 full sheets of the...
  9. Cobb Tuning has launched support for Tacoma (4th gen) and 4Runner (6th gen)

Anxious to hear if the truck is particular about intake and tuning as the old subarus. I hav ethe K&N 63 series that replaces the whole inlet and adds a small airhorn to step down to the compressor inlet. If you havent come across it I put together a little thread here...
  10. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

I was actually going to add the hood struts, but havent yet so I cant speak to that. I dont forsee an issue as it didnt add much weight overall. I could weigh a square this weekend and tell you exactly how much we put on there.
  11. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

This is what Ive been using. I have an update on the door treatment to post here soon, but I also do a layer of closed cell foam over this deadener combo. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6JKF9SC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
  12. Recommendations - Molle Bed Rack

A bed rack with Molle panels the Kuat Ibex is super nice. Thats what I have if you have any specific questions. I however, kinda wish I had gone with the OVS Topper or similar for a waterproof solution. You can add panels to the ibex but at that point your over the cost of the topper options...
  13. Cobb Tuning has launched support for Tacoma (4th gen) and 4Runner (6th gen)

This is exciting. Id been missing my turbo cars. I like what Im seeing from both Cobb and OTT. Now I want to share a dyno that will make every tuner squirm. Ive had my fair share of DSMs, subarus, bmws all that I will ofcourse build and tune. This graph is of a stock 04 forester XT with...
  14. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

I was hesitant to use underhood sound deadener, as the heat seems like it could be an issue. But I have seen many utilize it with success, and the deadener I purchased is rated for underhood use. Under the hood (again): This time I removed my factory underhood material that is intended to...
  15. Sound Deadening and the most beneficial spots to target

I have done sound treatments and audio upgrades to many many cars (and homes)over the years. Unlike most I havent been disapointed in the JBL sound system that came in my truck, but I was sure it could benefit from some key sound deadening and absorption areas. This thread will just be me...
