  1. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

Thanks! I’m not of the Facebook so that makes sense why I didn’t see any
  2. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

If done properly, cerakote would last. Are you able to link some of those posts when you get a chance? I’m curious to see how these bastards are stealing our stuff.
  3. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

In theory a proper cerakote is 9H rated which means ain’t nothing scratching it but I get what you mean. Plus it’s cheaper and easier to work 6061
  4. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

Interesting. I haven’t seen a single post on it across multiple forums. Anodizing/cerakote will negate the minor zinc issues with 7075. What’s the price?
  5. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

I think a decent amount of people bought the CR version before realizing the 4th gen tailgate is not easily stolen. I definitely agree with you on red anodization lol. Just odd for a company to start from scratch and this be their first produced product. It’s basically a nonissue save for the...
  6. Engineering a Billet Tailgate Anchor System for the 4G Tacoma

What tailgate theft issue for the 4th gen? I haven’t seen a single post on it. And what happened to companies not using 7075 anymore. 6061 is soft
  7. What Rear Links Do on the 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma and Why I Upgraded to 74Weld’s New Set

6061 Al is versatile in a definitional sense yes, and it’s cost effective, that’s about all. It’s not the strongest alloy, nor is it really any better than the OEM steel frankly. The same rock that would bend steel would likely snap or bend these. Now I see they did some CNCing which looks like...
  8. What Rear Links Do on the 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma and Why I Upgraded to 74Weld’s New Set

$3,000 for a whole set. They are awesome but not that awesome
  9. Need help wiring rough country rocker switch to Tacoma square light switch . Dual action light bar

Your best course of action would probably be to t-tap the DRL wires and hook the other two wires (for “full power”) up to a single square switch. You could do a dual switch but you’d have to turn on/off the low power mode manually. I think
  10. Roof Racks recommended?

https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/need-advice-on-new-roof-rack.19297/#post-241661 Here’s a recent thread on a very similar question. Tacoma world has many threads about the same question as wel. Don’t go cheap. That being said, you can get namebrand ones for cheap. I was able to get a...
  11. Harbor Freight Apache Cases installed on roof rack

Nice! I’ve got a V700 on mine and the brackets did not work for me until I got 1” spacers to put between the rack and the bracket. Now they are perfect! The Apache cases are great, they’re just so much heavier than the vault
  12. Need advice on new roof rack

I guess I meant 2024 but bought from a drop ship site Black Friday plus a coupon code. Shipping took 2 months but I wasn’t in a rush. Came out to like $480. Couldn’t pass up on the deal
  13. Need advice on new roof rack

Prinsu is also on sale. I was able to get mine last year under $500. Holding up great and works for my needs. When it’s not loaded with camping or fishing stuff there’s not a huge difference in terms of wind noise.
  14. TRD Pro Grille Install On 2025 Toyota Tacoma

Yes…or at least a P/N if you have it! I don’t need light bar cut outs
  15. Miles left on tank off by a lot

The estimate is a predictive model based on your driving. I took a road trip and filled up 6 times and since my MPG went to almost 28/gal the “miles to empty” was close to 400, which was actually pretty damn accurate. About one fill up after I was back home it change back to its usual 320-350...
