Interesting. When I talked with Dobinson about my truck they told me I needed the 819's. I installed the 819's, and they were a joke, so I installed 821's. Give me a break, so I installed their 1/2" spacer. OK, I can live with that, for now. I suspect the 823's are in my future, especially if I...
I will admit I'm quite giddy with the tune. The drivability is significantly improved, especially with all the extra weight. Thanks Cameron.
What Cam didn't mention is this was on 91 octane.
What you describe is normal. I have yet to see a fuel gauge that didn't sit on full for a few miles before starting to drop. Since your fuel range is coming down it tells me you gauge is working properly, just not how you would like.
255 miles after a fill, after getting 16.7mpg, sounds...
This was my truck. Cam came over to the house on Saturday after a club breakfast, and did a minor tune on my truck. Today, he did his dyno tune. I was pleased after the minor tune he did on Saturday. I was super impressed driving home this afternoon after the dyno tune. I can't wait to get the...
A different idea.
Passenger side fuse block under the hood. The circuits marked in yellow are constant hot. Those not marked are switched off the "key." The two circles are 1/4" spade terminals you can run off ... fused to the load of course. I only marked two as an example since there are...
Why don't you want to use one of the vacant circuits from one of the fuse boxes under the hood? It's easy to get the wire from under the hood to under the dash, at least on the passenger side.
Behind the battery, where the harness comes through the firewall, is a nipple on the grommet. Cut the...
I used to blow off the use of chains ... until I started using them. Now, I don't play in the snow without them. I use twisted-link chains on both my 4Runner and FJ40. I think the square link chains work well too. Which reminds me ... I need to get a second set for the front.
A good selection...

It works as designed. The swing-outs do not impact the proximity sensors at all. The only exception I had was when I put my Trasharoo on the spare tire. The straps drove my sensors nuts.
Simple. It's a popular place. Just like the Needles in Canyonlands. When my wife and I honeymooned on the White Rim we walked in for the permit. Shoot, I don't even remember getting a permit. But, that was in 1988.
