  1. Removing Tailgate Panel?

I removed all the torx screws, but I could not figure out how to get the panel off. Anybody know how to remove the panel?
  2. Running Wire from Battery into Cab

I was working on a project and I needed to run some wire from the battery into the cab. As usual, I started with looking for the rubber grommet that the main harness runs through. Traditionally, a small slit is cut into the outside of the grommet, and the new wires are shoved through. As I was...
  3. This yahoo has no idea what a 6MT is.... "As soon as you put it into Park"

I like that feature. One less thing to worry about when I get out of the truck. I always engage the parking brake anyways so it saves me a step.
  4. Anyone From Bozeman, Montana Have Recommendations For Overlanding Spots? Early Planning for a Small Group.

Not near Bozeman, closer to Boise. Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Not the canyon itself, but the public land on either side in Idaho and Oregon. Plenty to explore and camp.
  5. Aux wires not getting power

I just went though this today. They only powered on with the engine running. I was hoping they would run in Accessory mode, but they don't.
  6. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Back at it. Yesterday and today ... Installed Victory 4x4 sliders. Installed the "smaller" Canada mudflaps (PK389-35R00-P1). Removed resonator and installed the TrailHunter exhaust tip (PT226-35241-AA). Wired the rock lights on the Victory 4x4 sliders to Aux2 dash switch. Wired a relay off the...
  7. Running Boards Recommendations Request

I just pulled off my OEM oval tube steps. I'm down I-25 in Albuquerque if you want a road trip. $100. Removal was stupid easy. Otherwise, I just installed sliders from Victory 4x4. They are not a traditional tube-and-plate slider. I can't say the install was easy, though. OEM running boards...
  8. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

My wild guess is the N1 and F1 are identical internally, except for the length of the media. I will be cutting my F1 open in July when I give the truck a break-in oil change. At some point I will cut open a -10010 filter. I'm guessing it might be a resin element based on what I've seen in the...
  9. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

The -10010 is also an option. It's used on the turbo V6 in the Tundra and Sequoia.
  10. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

I took possession of my TRD-OR/MT truck yesterday. Drove it home from the dealer around 250 miles and got 21mpg. Truck bed will be covered with a canopy camper from Dirtbox. Today ... Installed the OEM front molle panel. It will hold my 13 gallon water tank and the RV water pump. Installed...
  11. AUX Switches easy to use / hook-up!

Interesting. I just took delivery of my '25 TRDOR today. I know I only have Aux 1-3. I'll look to see if there is a powered Aux4 relay slot, and if the Aux4 fuse slot is powered.
  12. AUX Switches easy to use / hook-up!

I'm showing the list price is $116, ~$83 from a discount dealer. Also, I seem to recall there are 4 part numbers. Aux 1: 84484-35010 Aux 2: 84484-35020 Aux 3: 84484-35030 Aux 4: 84484-AK040 (84484-35040) I was at Overland Expo this last weekend in CA. Toyota had a Trailhunter on display. It...
  13. HAM and GMRS Radio Installs in 4th gen Tacoma -- Post Your Setups

No drilling on the ICS mount. It uses existing bolts under the dash cover.
  14. Any word on a larger fuel tank?

I have one of these on my Gen1 4Runner. There is a company that makes a spare tire tank for the Gen3 Tacoma. I've been talking to them about a tank for the Gen4 Tacoma. I'm hoping to visit their shop in April to chat.
