  1. Full size spare no longer fits after Track Bar Correction Kit

Late reply. Bumper attached to the frame in several locations. This included holes in the frame that I think you are talking about. Camera. I'm pretty sure I documented what I did on this forum. Try a search. In a nutshell, I bought a camera and tailgate harness from Toyota, and moved the...
  2. Anyone running a hellwig rear swaybar on a 4th gen? thoughts?

Like i said, I'm on my summer adventure, the second major trip in this truck. The perceived need for a larger sway bar was noted last time, but i didn't become aware of the Hellwig until just before I left on this trip.
  3. Anyone running a hellwig rear swaybar on a 4th gen? thoughts?

Glad you brought this up. I have a canopy camper and the Hellwig was on my radar. My truck is heavy. As soon as I get back from my summer adventure I will be ordering the Hellwig sway bar. I wish I had time before I left to get this installed. I'm also curious if anybody has gone there yet.
  4. Helivue Design 18 gal Auxiliary Fuel Tank

When I ordered in March delivery was June. A few weeks ago it extended to July. When I checked 2 days ago, it was August delivery. It doesn't matter too much to me. I'm on my summer adventure and won't be home for awhile. I really could use that tank right now.
  5. 2024 Tacoma Offroad - canopy & running boards

De nada. FYI. I'm going to Overland Expo in a couple weeks. I'll have another chat with those folks and hopefully have an update. I'm waiting on the 18gal Helivue tank.
  6. 20% Summer Sale on Toyota Parts

Check your favorite discount dealer and see if they are participating. The 20% discount is off any other discount they normally provide.
  7. ‘25 TRD OR underground overland build

I also have an overland truck. I bought and built the truck specifically for longer adventures. My other overlander is a Gen1 4Runner that I use for harder stuff like Canyonlands, and short (1-2 week) trips. The Tacoma was specifically built for a 7 week adventure to western Canada and Alaska...
  8. OEM mudflaps. Canada vs US.

I installed the -35R00 on my TRD-OR. Like most folks we want to minimize the mud and rock chips. Problem is, I wheel my truck. More than once I've caught the mudflaps on the rocks. I've cracked one, and bent the fender with another. I'm going to leave them for now, since I do think that most of...
  9. OEM Hub cap/center cap fitment

[cough][choke] Those tri-color caps are $32 list each. The others are $14 list. Even at a discount dealer a set of the tri-colors would cost over $100. This is one of those cases where the bling isn't worth it. My opinion of course. But, you do you.
  10. TPMS and spare

Well, I'm going to bump this up to the top. Awhile back I had a 5th TPMS installed in my full size matching spare which is mounted on the rear bumper. The dealer had been bugging me to bring the truck in for a free service. In this case, it was for a tire rotation and multi-point "inspection." I...
  11. Bolt on Turbo Upgrade from Big Dawgs Toyota Tuning for the 2.4T Engine

I seem to recall one aftermarket turbo put on a dyno. I don't remember the specifics, but the conclusion was the larger turbo wasn't worth it. I wish I could remember where I saw that.
  12. Bolt on Turbo Upgrade from Big Dawgs Toyota Tuning for the 2.4T Engine

I don't think that is the correct question. Expected? I would want to know actual gains, and how it changed the power band, not a guess.
  13. Rear Cab Roof Spoiler Bolt with Rubber Washer Part Number Assist

If you want to try and figure it out, you can look up parts at: PartSouq: Tacoma Knowing how to look up your own junk is a good skill to have.
  14. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

I believe Cam showed this to be true on his website. He tested his tuned truck with a SXTH intake and had good results. Of course, I think he did the dyno test with their inner-cooler at the same time. I think your point that the intake has better impact on a tuned truck is important. My point...
