I noticed the same thing. Rarely had any issues at all with CarPlay and my phone connecting until my 1 year subscription expired. Now I'm getting the occasional disconnect or just refusing to connect at startup. I've had to restart the head unit a few times to get it to connect. I'm glad it's...
THIS! Crazy to have to navigate through the head unit to turn the headlights on or off. My headlights are auto, but I still have times where I turn them on manually. Foggy morning recently, but had enough light that my headlights didn't turn on, so I flipped the switch and turned them on myself...
Oh yeah, they always start low and drag out the whole process to get to a reasonable number. I've traded quite a few and pretty well know what to expect, but this one shocked me a bit. I've walked away a bunch of times if I feel like they aren't making a serious offer.
There's definitely more...
Yeah you're putting similar mileage on it, but that depreciation hit isn't as bad. Seeing some of the others on here, it does sound like the SR and SR5 are doing a better job of holding value. Doesn't seem like there's really much of any return on the premium options on the higher trims.
That...
It's the same here. The tax break is why I don't really look at selling it myself. Usually ends up being a wash. But, I don't really factor it into trade value. It's less I have to pay, sure, but it's not what the dealer is actually offering for my truck. When I got my 2020, I kept negotiating...
It's a little better. $40.6k offer from Carvana. Definitely not covid times, but I only bought one during that timeframe. I'm sure volume is playing a role, but still seems like a big swing.
You might be right about the premium options and higher trims not holding value as well. I'm guessing...
That's closer to what I would expect from a Tacoma. Seems like the higher TRD trims with the premium options are the ones taking the biggest hit. Looks like your SR5 is holding steady. I've looked at selling with some of my prior vehicles, but then the additional tax hit of not having that trade...
Oof. That just seems like a crazy drop for a Tacoma. I've had five of them and they held their value so well, this is a bit of a shock. I know they are producing more, but they produced a lot of 3rd gens too. I wonder if vehicle prices are hitting a ceiling and dealers are having to discount...
I’m just curious if anyone has tried to sell or trade their 4th gen and what kind of numbers you are seeing?
I happened to come across a Landcruiser with exactly the options I would want and not loaded with a bunch of extras that I don’t, so I decided to look into it. I’m used to getting an...
Are you only going off of the trucks computer? My first fill up, the truck showed like 19 and the hand calculated mileage was actually 22.7. It hasn’t been close, so I don’t even look at that anymore.
No complaints here. I test drove a Sport and Off Road the same day, same route, and the Sport was noticeably smoother to me. Can’t comment on the SR5 or Limited, but I love the way the Sport rides and drives.
CarPlay has been fantastic in mine. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the truck has JBL audio. No disconnections or anything and everything has worked as expected. Better, actually. It’s been a significant improvement over my 3rd gen.
My TRD Sport Hybrid has been showing about 330-340 for the range. I've been using the Trip meter and I've been getting right around 330 per tank with about 20-25 miles still showing on the range. Usually takes about 15 gallons, give or take, to fill it up.
I was concerned about the range on...
