Sigh. Yeah. That is easy to fix just take it back for some trimming. This is the second time I have done PPF and I swear I think it stresses me out more than not having it. There’s always something with it. And then I’m always freaked out if we need to remove it whether it’ll fuck up the...
Got a question for you guys - my PPF guy accidentally scored a small area under my hood when cutting the wrapped PPF, exposing a thin line of bare aluminum (yes it’s super annoying but not visible). Given that the hood is aluminum I assume it will just get some surface corrosion on that tiny...
Interesting. I’m probably getting 285/70/18s (33.7”) KO3s - they weigh 63.9 pounds which is more than I would like but I cannot find many lighter options in that size
Hey guys - curious if anyone knows whether the Trailhunter and Pro models should be regeared before putting 35s on them.. everyone I ask says it handles it just fine, but every gear ratio chart I see says that 3.58 is too tall for a 35... doesn't the torque matter though? In other words, if the...
I mixed you up with @Desertrunner
My ppf guy took off the factory ppf but just didn’t go up high enough (miscommunication maybe) — I’ll be back so he can add another piece above it
It’s not the paint. The bed and fenders just stick out a lot. Don’t troll, my man. None of us have any patience for it here. Head to Tacomaworld if you want to do that. We’re trying to keep it positive.
Sorry I’m not being super clear - I’m confused because I see the new ppf at the top and the old ppf at the bottom .. how are they in the same picture at the same time
Our concerns are not a generalized fear around whether this truck is dependable. It’s focused on this TSB. Even if we are prepared to get ourselves back if we get stuck, we may not want the headache of it knowing we’re on this TSB list. I have a family and younger kids. I don’t want to mess...
Does anyone know what this rocker clip is called? What’s the part? Does anyone know its purpose? My PPF guy removed it to lay down some film and it’s now slightly loose. If it’s cheap I may replace it.
Yeah but we now all know. So it makes it harder. And as we notice small symptoms we have to pay attention. I drive far to my rural property. I always tell my kids a ford will get you there but a toyota will get you back when I explain why I don’t have an F150. Not sure that statement...
Just picked up my truck from PPF. Def noticed hard shift from first to second gear a few times. It stopped after I drove it a few miles. Sigh. Wish this wasn’t an issue!
