Any theories on a realistic weight limit for the tailgate? I need to load a motorcycle weighing about 500lbs via a ramp. The only dynamic portion of the weight will be during the loading. The bulk of the bike, if not all, will sit in the bed. This is on a long bed.
I know older generations had...
You're fairly underinsured on that 50/100/50 unless it have literally nothing but an empty apartment and the truck in your name. The good news is Progressive is so putrid you will fight with them to pay anything in full so you'll struggle to hit your policy max. A single traffic light runs...
Posting random numbers without posting your coverage is pointless.
What's your deductible? Policy limit? Medical payments? Underinsured/uninsured? Etc.
At the end of the day, all you're buying is a bunch of bolt ons and some appearance package things. There's no performance improvements here that aren't available on the base TRD OR. It's the same truck, on the same frame with the same engine. This is a cosmetic upgrade for $15k. It does not get...
Do you recall the part number for the oem trd OR rim/wheel? I couldn't figure it out from the Toyota website, and the rim didn't have anything on it suggesting it's number. I like the idea of a fifth matches wheel/tire.
I did find that the steel spare wheel is a 7" wide wheel, so that should...
Did you keep the stock steel spare tire rim? Trying to figure out what size tire will reasonably fit on the spare. Having a stock spare that's almost 2" smaller diameter is a total cheapout on Toyota's part. The 245/70R17 is hardly a "full size." It's more like a smedium size.
These quirks aren't really quirks. This is the consequence to cost cutting to "maximize shareholder value." They're kind of significant things. The lack of bump stops on the LCA for an off road trim is a great example. Hence why people are blowing the shocks out. "Rock sliders" bolted to sheet...
You just have to remove 4 bolts. Is all the cutting and drilling, which requires removing the plate, worth the time to save 90 seconds every 5000 miles? Over a 200,000 mile vehicle life, your total time saved doing 5000 mile oil changes is 1 hour.
How did you fare on that super tight switchback (Black Bear) on the downhill side past the waterfall? That's a tight turn with a nasty drop off. Did it require an Austin Powers back up?
I don't know if it's still there, but there was a big ass rock on the passenger side that should be sponsored...
No aftermarket fuel efficiency claim passes the smell test. Manufactures will fight to the death for even a 10th of a mile per gallon improvement fleet wide. If it was this simple, it would already be there.
They almost certainly do. If you were referring to the three AUX harnesses. Just take a look and see. There's three fuses, three relays and then three wiring harness that the locations of which are listed in the manual.
