I thought I read that there would be different sizes and ratings available on KO3s sometime this year. That is my first choice, but not sure I want to go all the way to an E load tire, since my truck will also be spending a lot of time on road.
Yeah - figured you were joking but Toyota started...
A roll out year is always tough and the 4th gen is not your normal update. I had a 2005 Tacoma, the first year for the second gen. It was pretty much all new from the 1st gen, but the very last 2023 Tacoma had many of the bones of my truck.
But in 2024 Toyota literally redid everything. A 4th...
I didn't see a setting related to that last time I scanned my ECU with the Carista. What you can set changes with Carista updates, so let's hope for the future. Somewhere on this forum someone posted a complete list not too long ago.
About the same with my Pro. It was 15-16 when new and now it is 17-18 on the highway. It has never gotten over 22 mpg on any trip so far. My best mpg comes on secondary roads, speeds of 35-55 mph where it can run on electric part of the time.
So it's not terrible, but also not what was advertised.
Perfect! That is exactly what I needed to know @bigd9247, @Kdbradley85, and @Dirt. I will track one down - my dealer's parts department seems to more confused than normal for a Toyota dealership. lol The next time I'm there I will ask them to check, because that answer might just been them...
A question related to the OEM trifold bid cover.
Has anyone bought one and installed it on a 4th gen which didn't come with one? Toyota says that it might not fit my truck and my dealers says it is a port option only and they can't order it. I have other good options but a lot of owners seem...
Totally agree. My Tundra didn't come with one, but it was a 2011 and no new trucks came with them back then. It did at least have the pigtail to make installation easier.
So even though Toyota cheaped out and didn't give you one, they should have given every truck a pigtail and made that part...
Yeah - I can't find a way to make mine stick in Sport either.
Toyota probably did the emissions testing in the other modes and has to default to them to keep the feds happy.
My seats have some occasional rattles, but not enough to bother me. But some people's seats rattle all the time and and they find them very irritating. I don't think any dealers are willing to take those seats apart and they are all saying that either it is normal or Toyota is looking into it. I...
That looks like the real deal to me. You should be able to locate it in the Toyota inventory and see the window sticker at this point. Congrats!
What color is your Pro going to be?
A really long time ago there was a top speed for 4Hi, and you had to stop to shift into 4wd. My brother in law had a truck like that, which I remember being a 1st gen Tundra.
Now you only shift into 4wd at speeds below 100 kph and there is no limit on speeds once in 4wd.
It's that simple...
My truck does warm up really fast, especially compared to my Tundra with the 5.7L V8, which took forever. I had not heard about that system before @bresna, thanks for that info. I have never heard any loud banging after turning off my truck, but maybe I just haven't been there at the right time yet.
