Sounds about right and Toyota is cutting production as well on most models. My tundra allocations are way down. Seems like Covid showed Toyota they can sell less cars at higher profit per vehicle and do just fine.
sdm is a tough options to get. Doesn’t seem like they’re building many with it. Most of my Tacomas sell while in freight or allocation with these discounts so rarely have much on the lot to choose from.
Exactly. My dealer sells off stuff very cheap to get more allocation on the high profit vehicles. There’s many ways to make money in the dealership. New cars sales isn’t really one of them. Service makes the bulk of the profit as well as F&I

Not sure the purpose of your post but you’re more than welcome to overpay by $3-4k to get a service loaner once or twice a year. 99% of people would disagree with you but no one is twisting your arm to save money.
Some updated inventory on the east coast. I still have some premiums left out west as well as many lower trims.
