Yup, Bud was the first LP install and he gave me some good tips. Mine was the first install on the '24 Tacoma and really the tail gate is the only lingering thing to resolve.
Here's a link to a bunch of photos, both of the truck and my drawer system I built. The spare tire photos are test fit...
Nice truck and I like what you have planned. I've had my Lone Peak for a couple of months now and pretty much have it built out the way I want it with the exception of maybe some awning lights. A couple of things.
Assuming the spare space is the same on the Trailhunter as it is on my OR, I...
What model did you install?
There are three different models that fit the Taco; TORSEQ3, which seems to be designed for general use, TORTTNDR for severe and/or heavy loads, and ABSTORNDR for off-road.
I tried communicating with their customer support but after four or five exchanges I gave...
Any tempered glass can shatter if the conditions are right. The sliding glass door in our house spontaneously shattered many years ago and the handyman that came out to fix it said it really wasn't that uncommon. He said that potentially the edge was rubbing on something hard and over time the...
I prefer the left (02), just because I think the contrast between the two colors stands out better.
Also, I know the page is just a mock up but please check the spelling of words prior to publishing anything. It's amazing to me how many professionally published news articles and websites...
My truck before the '24 Taco was a '16 Canyon SLT and I loved it. Not a single issue in 80k miles. The only reason I didn't buy a new Canyon was because GM won't make one in a six foot bed. That made the Taco not only the easy choice, but it was the only choice. Bring back the six foot and...
Slightly off topic but what window deflectors are those? I've been waiting for someone to make the ones that fit in the channels. I see both Weathertech and AVS finally have them and I've always liked AVS for the money but am open to other options as well.
I can echo this. Very happy with my TripleAliners floor mats. I never even realized 3D printed mats were a thing until I started looking for mats for the Tacoma but now I can't imagine buying any other type for future vehicles.
Same situation with the Off Road. I would still have replaced the stock bulbs just to get rid of the only halogen bulb on the truck but wouldn't have bothered spending the extra cash for the switchback bulb.
There are multiple ebay vendors selling these between $75 - $100, shipping directly from China. It's tempting to give them a shot but who knows the quality...
Umm....that's the same thing as we have in the Tacoma. I don't know what they'll put in the Frontier but the Tacoma's inverter is a modified sine wave as well, which really irritates me.
Hopefully you already have it figured out but, if not, I used the Aux 3 wiring plug, located right under the windshield washer reservoir. The Cali Raised harness was just long enough to reach. It's confusing b/c the Aux 3 wiring there has four wires and it's not at all clear which you will...
Kind of off topic but if you pull the subwoofer there is a large vent behind it. I simply drilled a hole in the back of the subwoofer enclosure and ran wiring through the vent. Works great and didn't have to modify anything other than a 1/2 inch hole in the back of the subwoofer enclosure...
Finally, the axle dump exhaust tip. I was surprised that apparently they've changed the part and it now has the hanger bracket already welded on. That was unexpected, but nice.
One tip for removing the old exhaust. First, lift the truck using the subframe (not the axle) to get as much...
