Did you get the kit with the rear rear shocks too? Honestly, $3k isn't even terrible considering the typical cost of preload/level kits with install ends up costing nearly $1500 or more.
I'm seriously debating doing that with mine too... I already have Westcott designs making some rock rails, thinking about just biting the bullet and getting their 2.5 inch leveling/pre-load kit and maybe even their roof rack.
Finally got the OEM wider mud guards. With the bigger tire, and the bigger mud guards, there is some rubbing on the front right when turning right at stock TRD Offroad suspension height. I'm not sure why the OEM wider mudflaps have such a huge amount of empty space on the front, I'm probably...
Yes, there's considerably more. I just ordered the wider mud flaps and also some rock sliders with top plates from westcott designs so I'm hoping that will be enough to solve the the problem. If that doesn't solve it then I guess I'll need to get the wider flares.
@brentbba yeah it's been ridiculous. You'd think they'd have a well fleshed out catalog but the last place I go to find a part that I want to order is to the dealer. Heck, I've asked the dealer for a part for my Tacoma and was told they had no eta on when they'd have it. I called right back and...
@The T Rav I had my sway bar disconnected for a bit, it's definitely noticable while driving. I could tell driving on the road there was more body sway than with it connected, the ride is more stiff when turning for sure.
Holy shit... guess I'm just glad I opted for the whole premium package from the factory then.
Also, while it would have been nice to get the sway bar disconnect, my biggest issue is that it is only available in 4 low. At least with an aftermarket option, it can be unlocked in all modes.
I can say with confidence that there is zero rub with the swapped trail hunter rims/wheels to the TRD off-road stock suspension. I've done plenty of offroading at this point, have had no issues outside of the rock chips from the extra tire poke.
