That's my point. You plug the Curt Echo brake controller into the truck's connector, and connect your trailer wiring to it. You make the settings on your phone, and you're good to go.
That should be easier than taking on the Toyota legal division.
What is that?
Were you aware of the brake controller issue before you bought the truck?
"my vehicle was sold as rated to tow 6400 lbs. and this cannot occur without a brake controller..."
Why not buy a Curt in-line controller and call it good?
It could be, but he is a trained Master Toyota Technician. Me? I own wrenches and sockets and have no training.
Here's a clip from him. I'll keep using 0W-20.
I don't recall the length of the bolts.
The holes in the truck are threaded. Put washers under the bolt heads. I don't recall which direction the ARB bolts go, but they need to be installed before bolting the bracket to the truck, if I recall. Yes, place washers next to the nuts as well.
Try starting the engine.
But you wrote, "it connects via Bluetooth, but when I try to connect the app, it won’t connect."
What do you mean, it's connected with Bluetooth but not the app?
Why are you getting errors with your measurements?
The vertical measurement is a bit subjective since it's a curve. So three people will give you three numbers.
My 2024 OR has rear coil springs, so I don't think it's a change.
I can tell you this: I've been driving trucks for fifty years, and this suspension is heads above everything I've ever driven on washboard roads.
