OH man, I took out my wider rear seat for a goose gear panel, and the amount of increased noise from the left rear is really surprising. I might be considering some sound proofing for the floor around the battery and left rear door.
Do you know the cradle part number you used? I'm looking at the universal air spring cradle, 52500- was this what you used? Did you need the spacer to bring it closer to the air spring?
One more data point- I'm at 25K on my Trailhunter, and...I hate to admit I have not been rotating my tires, as I should. Also hauling waaay over the "limit." I've found that my front tires are definitely wearing on the outside edges of the tread faster than the rest of the tire, though, to be...
So last couple of weeks, I drove from 4000ft to 9300 ft paved to 5500, then dirt the rest of the way up. Cat scales had me at 9300 lbs across three axles, most of which is gear in the back, the trailer axle is about 2300. You can see it sitting down in the rear. After watching this thread, I was...
Here's my current numbers. The 19.2 was a fluke, mostly driving around town at 35mph or so. As things start wearing in, I'm finding that I can get 17-18.5 mpg now on the highway at 73 cruise control (71 by gps) as long as I'm not travelling into the wind, where prior to 15k miles I was more in...
I knew I saw a similar card. I was jacking between the mounting ribs to the frame, and it still deflected quite a bit towards the pinch welds on the bottom of the rocker panels. They didn't touch, but I was too chicken to keep lifting until they did- Maybe they won't and my anguish is misplaced...
I'm messing about with my jack, and the rear jack points built into the bumper are fine, but I tried jacking one of the rock rails, and it definitely flexes quite a bit towards the body as the suspension is unloaded. I stopped before I lifted a tire, and the flex recovered. I'm dubious these...
This is exactly the thing. I don't have the time available to have parts CNC cut, spend all the time finding the right connectors, fiddling with how long and what wire, etc. I'll go for the pre-built solution. I'm glad I can make the time to install it.
Woohoo! three days ago i was like "Oh no!! the site is gone!"
Then the messages went from generic errors to we'll be back soon, and I figured someone was on it.
Glad to see it back!
If you are basing your 8mpg of one fuelly record- i recommend you wait for a few more. I've had the numbers not add up on one or two fill ups for whatever reason- transposed miles on truck, inaccurate pump, accidentally topped past the first stop. All those things will throw fuelly, but normally...
24 Trailhunter here- after 15k miles- my Fuelly average is 15.1. I see as low as in the 12s driving west across the middle states (into the wind) and the best I've ever seen (once, all in town, driving slow, was 19.2, but that obviously is not the usual. 8 does seem low, but if it's right off...
Has anyone got the correct part number for the upgraded snorkel cover part? Mine finally departed the party on a tornado chasing drive in Oklahoma last week.
