Has anyone else verified alignment specs for the 2024 Tacoma? Firestone didn't have factory alignment specs for the 2024 as of today. Olaf's picture above seems to be the only official alignment spec I've seen online, would be good to know if anyone else has gotten an official alignment from Tacoma?
Here’s a photo of rear left 819 spring with probably 930-950 lbs (still had some water in the back).
I wanted to try lifting the tire to the max but wasn’t sure the best way to do that. I have a floor jack but don’t have any ramps or anything, maybe sometime I could find a rock to back up onto.
I'm still really pleased with the 819's. I added Tacoyaki's info to my comparison table, I also updated that my weight was actually 900-930 lbs (finally got to a CAT scale after doing my interior build, previously I was estimating 850 lbs but I underestimated my interior).
The 819's have felt...
Wow dang! How fast ya going on the highway? My trips are usually 65 and 75 mph and less, with the average being maybe 68 (speeds in Washington and Oregon are pretty slow)
EDIT: According to WKTJR1 the hybrids actually do have bigger brakes, so I updated my table and that would probably explain the increased payload. The parts websites said they were the same but I think the parts websites still just aren't accurate for these new vehicles!
So I've noticed...
I’ve got a video and more of the interior build here! https://tacotunesday.com/
For the CAT scales, yeah you install the Weigh My Truck app, then you just drive up onto the scale and open the app, and you pay the $15 inside the app, and you get the results right there. They have a YouTube video...
We were on a camping trip and I weighed our 2024 TRD Off Road 5’ bed truck in at 6,300 lbs with a full tank of gas, two people in the car, our Tune M1 camper with full kitchen build, skis, snow chains, rock climbing gear, and 7 gallons of water. This is 60 lbs over the GVWR of 6,240 lbs for this...
Just installed 819's installed on Tacoma Off Road 5' bed with ~900 lbs of constant load... Wanted to share my stats for those deciding between springs. I have a Tune M1 truck camper with a kitchen setup in the rear, approx 900 lbs of constant weight (the Tune was weighed at 500 lbs on CAT scale...
There’s another one on a 6’ bed 4th gen, join the Facebook Tune M1 group if you haven’t!
I didn’t move the cargo cam, I can still partially see into it since I have the window, I’ll post a pic of that later.
Here’s what I posted on the FB group
Weight: 500 lbs exactly (measured before and...
I just completed installing my redirect! Their YouTube video was excellent. I've got a great view now regardless of having my Tune M1 camper on!
And this is the view from through the cab (I haven't built my kitchen yet so it's going to look worse soon)...
When redirecting, instead of...
Mine does the cycling too when my AC is set to Auto. If I turn the AC off, the cycling stops it’s quite noticeable when at a stoplight and I can hear it cycling on and off what feels like every 10 seconds.
I can't promise centimeter-level accuracy (visually guestimated that imaginary line from center axle up), but I measured 23.125", you can see the attached photos. I'd give it a margin of error of 1 or 2 inches in either direction. Hope that's enough to be helpful!
I'm not quite sure which measurement you're talking about, could you annotate a picture? Is it what I drew here, where if you took an imaginary line straight up from the center of the rear axle and then measured horizontally to the back outside of the cab?
I have my 5' Tacoma now, so I'm...
I just installed the Rago Fabrication bed stiffeners on my 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I chose these because they seemed to go the tallest and also the lowest with where they bolted in, so hopefully they're the strongest, and they also had a bracket tab system that didn't require rivots or any...
I’ve seen at least one, if not multiple at the dealer that had the bed scene lights and weren’t Trailhunters. This was like one or two months ago. I was bummed to find out mine didn’t have it.
I’m thinking of wiring the interior bed lights to some exterior lights on my upcoming Tune M1 camper...
Hey folks, has anyone managed to use the digital key with their iPhone without having to open their phone and launch the Toyota app?
I've been able to unlock/lock the car by touching the door handle with the phone in my pocket, but pressing the ignition doesn't work UNLESS I open my phone and...
