A couple more of those 43lb 275 yokos with closer look @ tread pattern. Been driving around quite a bit, up some bumpy service road etc, and really loving the ride. Seems like people are sleeping on these!
I got the Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 in 275/70R18. Their overall diameter is slightly larger than the rest, but their weight is less at 43lbs each (in SL). They were $262 a piece at discount tire with a 65,000 mile warranty. I like them a lot so far. There is a bit of a hum between 35-50mph on...
I love your build! Oh and besides some road noise, they yokohamas are great!
I will do a lift late summer after I achieve the "paid off mod" haha maybe the lift is what's missing. Might be the grill too. Considering a trailhunter grill or cutting edge off road expanded honeycomb.
Yea I've got the TH wheels with +20 offset. Spec sheet on my 275/70R18 yokohamas say 33.5" inflated but I measure 32.75 @ 32lbs. You can see how much the ark mids cover up there.
Thanks for the recommendation! I like the ride of these. I didn't really go for looks, I went with rating, weight, and price, but these babies be hummin' on smooth roads!
For sure ! Guess I'm just wondering about other folks' road noises experiences with other AT tires compared to the OEM road-style-at that comes stock on them.
Good question ! Those were my second choice to cover the +20mm offset. Ultimately went with Ark because of their styling and to support a small business, but would love to hear from someone else who's compared the two side by side.
What do you think about the tone change with that axle dump ? I'mm half deaf and took my Cobb dump off after 24 hours, but so many people say they don't hear a change or they like the subtle growl.
I got my Ark Mids a couple of days ago and installed them. I'm usually not a fan of mud flaps and only had them installed on my lifted brodozer with 35s for legal reasons, but I actually like the look of these! They seem effective enough and I like that when you purchase them you're supporting a...
I just had my Yokohama Geolandar A/T4's installed and they are pretty damn loud, especially on smooth roads. I almost bought the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 (265/70), but went with the Yokohama due to it being a bigger tire (275/70) that weighed 3lbs less in SL. But man, between 35 and 50 these are...
That's how I got my 2025 SR5 DCLB 4X4 according to the sales person. 4,000 miles, 29 days of ownership, previous owner traded for a Tundra. Worked out for me! Got the truck for $37K. Plus they add that CPO 7 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.
Can confirm my coworker did this exact thing...
