I have mine mounted in the location you are pointing out, I haven't had any issues. Bonus I have the Uni pass (works with many of systems) and it's black so it just blends in and I forget it's there until I have to clean my windshield.

Looks great I got the same color! First "mod" I did was too take off the TRD Off-road stickers. With all the angles in the body they looked crooked and I felt like they weren't adding anything to the asterisks. Enjoy it!
