I read a lot about needing Bed Stiffners if you do any offroading.
This was a problem on previous generations. The difference here is the full boxed frame likely wouldnt allow as much flex idependently to the bed.
I see the venders still say they are needed. Anyone research this in detail to...
Installed the Rough Country Molle panels and they do work with my Tonneau cover
Details here

I installed the panels today
Front panel was easy except for a toyota problem. One of the bed bolts was over torqued and I slightly stripped the head getting it loose. I was able to get it to work with a reverse drill and hammering a hex bit into it and was able to tighten it back down. I...
I have front and rear. Got 1.5" front and 2" rear. Make sure if you get them you are getting the newer lots. Apparently the previous lot did not provide as much lift to the front.
After installing my winch and Bumper it is about 1.25" in the front
Today I completed my Skids plates
RCI Engine, Tranny and Tcase
RCI Rear Link Rear
This is a known weak spot. From Tinkers Video
o I tried the RCI Rear Link Front Skid but it didnt work since the top bolt was used by the CBI Slider. I ended up with a DV8 skid there
Very Happy with it.
Thanks for all the inputs. I have been researching panels. It looks like the front panel is not constrained by the cover since you don't move the rail.
I really liked the Rago side panels as they go the whole side. They are expensive and they have a lot of bolt holes that have to line up so...
I have the Ghost antenna which works very well. It does best when both vehicles have mobile units. Otherwise, you are limited by the hand helds capability. I have two of those as well when I get out of the truck. There are probably some youtube that could tell you the difference in units...
I have a HAM Radio and that works great for long distance communications. The MXT275 is 15 Watts and will work 10-15 miles line of sight and a couple of miles on the trail. I like it because it is small and easy to hide some place for an easy install. All the controls and speaker are in the...
Through the rubber grommet behind the battery. Cut the nipple off and you can run wires through there. The antenna big connector screws off to allow you to run a smaller diameter connector through
What type of lift and height increase? AllDogs 1.5" front and 2" rear just changed the springs
Did you install UCA and what type? Nope
Did you do an alignment when completed? Yes
Mods to the rear? Front and rear springs
Did you do the Diff drop? No
Do you have any new vibrations after the kit...
I went and pulled the carpet back to better illustrate where. With the carpet tucked in you can't see any wires.
You can see the edg of the radio.
Do I think the double sided tape will hold? No. I don't see the radio going anywhere if everything is tucked in.
Defenitly batter ways to mount...
Its all covered up with carpet. I didnt realize there was foam in there until I started pulling stuff back to fish the power and antenna wires. Its actually up and to the left a bit. Pull the carpeet back in that left upper corner as far as you can go and feel around. There are aa couple of...
I have stuff on the first 3 switchs; Towing, Camera, Diff locker. I am talking about the 4th which is blank on top. Let us knoww what you find out. The 5th is the fully blank one that I used.
Thanks Jon,
I want to see if I can make it work with one of the holders I have. Likely not. I like it close the grab bar on that side. Right now I have 3 zip ties holding a Mic holder down and it isnt a bad solution :)
I posted last year about my HAM Install, Now I will post about my GMRS Install. Some of it thanks to those who posted in the thread
Before I get into it, when I lifted the center plate to install the Jack in a blank, I noticed the other blank was pre-wired. Swaybar disconnect harness maybe...
