I've had fold up and roll up (retractable) covers on 4 pickups. The OEM is the tightest fit, least leaking one since the retractable, which worked great but took up too much bed space for me, so went back to the flip up style. It's secure and being able to open the cover from either side is...
I use 3 different dealerships, each in different states, each between 100 and 150 miles away. 1 has great sales folks, the other two have efficient, seemingly responsible service departments; time will tell. I quit a closer one when the sales dept. mislead my wife's buying experience (after...
Great photo lay out, and good info. My dogs are small so I just lay the back seat backs down and use a solid kydex sheet across the back to cover and hold items in the space available. The only thing missing from your photo's is how the upper corner of the back panel on the driver's side is...
Your choice; it's a free country. I merely gave my practical experience answering his question. Did you have a positive suggestion for a product for the op? After reading more entries I see you did, good on you, pard; I'm sure you've used them all.
The OEM has worked fine for me on my 6' bed these past 18 months. Much tighter fit than the 3 Gen I had on previous Taco, significantly fewer leaks. The braces hold the folded cover up at highway speeds. Sturdy enough to work well as a shooting bench and doesn't show the surface scrapes much at all.
I agree with Gear_yyc from my experience with Toyota 4x2's. Swing by your local tire store and pick up a good set of tire chains just for insurance. (I put about 200 lbs. in the bed)
I almost went back to my trade-in when dealing on my '24 because the extended warranty was pushed so hard citing all the electronics and other technology. Ultimately I passed on the extended warranty for the '24 just like I had on the 6 new Toyota's I'd purchased over the years. Time will tell....
Great idea. When I tore the sidewall of the OEM tire on some rocks I couldn't get the OEM jack under the axle because of the ruts I was in. To run it up between the ruts put the pickup on too much of a slant to safely do the work. Thanks for posting.
I understand why Mary is crazy. Anyone on this forum who criticizes an owner for what he/she wants to buy on their rig has been drinking bad water. My choice is very basic for what I need to do, what I want to do in my God's country (picture posted). I enjoy watching what others like to put...
Snowman jps, go back to Ruissimo entry on July 30, 2024. He has a link there, scroll down and Real Truck sells them for about $8.00 US. (This is near the top of page 3 on my computer.)
Is 0W-16 the oil being used in the newest Tacoma's? My go to service guy said they were charging an additional $50 bucks for oil changes on new Toyota's because of the cost of the new oil. IDK, just what he said.
