Actually the off road and trail hunter have matte black flares, the pro has gloss black. Sport and lower trims have paint matched with the lower trims being narrower flares.
Definitely. It took them so long then when they described the sound to make sure it was the right one they said that was "normal". Go figure. I fought them a bit about it and listened to one on the showroom floor and agreed mine was not nearly as loud and finally fixed it.
I believe this is where my dealer put foam to fix my issue. Finally. Double check your seat but I think those 3 vertical white strips is how they fixed it.
8” Xtrusion Overland XBRS. Fits great with the tonneau cover. You don’t have a ton of height to work with but it rolls up just fine. Only issue I had with this particular one is the paint peeling on the bed mount brackets but they sent me new ones.

You could always mount one and wire up deutsch plugs exactly where you want them. Leave the wire routed and plug in where it's convenient. They also make mountable deutsch plugs you can cut into surfaces.
Interesting. Yeah wouldn't hurt bringing it up just so it's more issues recorded. He said that's the best thing to do. If there's enough issues Toyota will eventually do something.
A new one on the showroom has a slight sound but nowhere near where mine is and they acknowledge that. Supervisor is going to ask to swap seats so we'll see if the managers allow it.
Coming back to this thread. Truck is at the dealer since yesterday for the AC chirp TSB and the seat again. He started with stating they’re probably going to swap seats with a new Tacoma then described the sound to me, which I confirmed is what I hear and said that’s “normal” after the seats...
